An alternate discussion area for owners of the TASCAM Pocketstudio 5, a four-track digital recorder that creates mp3 files for posting music on the Internet. This site and its sister Yahoo! site are two of the largest resources on the web to offer tips, help, suggestions, collaborations, links to user music files, and more.

Released in 2002, the PS5 uses a Compact Flash (CF) card to record on four tracks, combined with over 100 built in MIDI-style patterns that can be arranged in any order. It can also import and play back externally created MIDI files. Additionally, the PS5 can function as a MIDI sound module for live performance, or a standard mp3 player.

The Pocketstudio is great for digital recording and editing, with a built in backing band and the ability to mix down to standard 128K mp3 files for PC storage, or uploading to the net.
