no reallly. aren't I? (HF QUIET!) its the name of the song. dam drums. no no not dam drums, im ok. looking for a bass if anyone wants.. smooth & clean (the bass) i was kinda havin mental spasms writing this.. happy? sad? angry? i couldnt tell i think that shows a bit.. i been having these 1/3 songwriting episodes as far as lyrics go.. i have about 3 like that to finish still.. the more i do this the more i realize whats wrong.. i will follow robs lead and study de ancient mastas of vudu majik recordin techiky mauw. the usual theme.. pondering my peaceful life and thanksful im not some iraq family whos home was bombed (say for example-or add your misery here). and yet pissed about a few things nonetheless and yet STILL happy to be here and now.. well at least that is what i always try for.. never seems to come out too chipper.. this was a lyric flow thingy that has moments that may not make sense but does to me so i figured, what the HAY! go lyrical postal edit: oops: www.soundclick.com/mattl

GREAT SONG MATT!!! I love it! Would you like some sparse, clean and smooth acoustic bass with it? I'd love to give a hand

I love it!, this song makes me feel...OK!, Great song and the guitar solo is incredible cool. A song to chill.
And the voice sounds amazing, very professional sound.

Matt,
It's interesting to hear your development as a writer in the last couple of months ! Your songs are getting better with every new one. I really love this one, great lyrics and you do a great job recording and mixing ! Acoustic bass would really do this one justice I think... hope to hear an updated version soon !

deal efkay!! lamplight.no-ip.org/imok1.0.ziptrack 4 is for whatever you hear (of course acoustic bass does make me drool for a song like this) email if you have any questions but im sure you have it covered.. the walkdown (up?) is mostly g, b,c ,a (sometimes d as ending) the "bridge" is what i think is a am7 strummed open and a modified c chord which surely has a name.. actually lemme look..yep: am7 and cmaj7 (open in the usual position) i was shocked to see these messages from you guys this am. i really felt like this was just another ho-hum song.. of course im amazed and thrilled people like my stuff still. what a bonus well thanks so much!! cant wait for the bass. wow.. coming from you guysa (whos music i repect so much all of you) i really haveta appreciate it. thanks!

Good stuff matt,
You melodies are getting better and better, It's obviously a style issue, your style is really developed, while mine is a little wavering. Still Id love to hear some catchier chorus's , something with more of a sing along quality, might be something to think about for another project. Still your songs are really starting to come together!
Awesome job, great instrumentation my the way, and excellent production.

thanks for additional comments guys. this is enough self esteem boost to hold me for a while hehehehhe. i WISH i could do happier bop your feat. hell id be happy if i could play in a party band like van hal;en or something (ok id have to do... tuning eddies gtr or something not technically the band hehehe . i find it suprising that i have a "style" myself. Cam you know im totally amazed at watching the process myself. you saw where i started and see where im going with the same insight i have (none!), i just watch it happen. i just try to stay true to my heart as they say, so this is what comes. i think thats the best artmusic when it happens that way. luckily i dont have to do it live. i was doing vocal takes and last night on this -when i realized the window was open i started singing worse so i shut the dam thing so i could be myself. i want to do some rocking numbers too and yea.. hopefully catchy would that be nice

This is total Mat. shows what kind of talent you really have. Man.....
Great acoustic! Great vocals! You sound like you were right in the living room. Not enough to break a wine glass, but it sounded just like Memorex.

Still a mattl fan. Very mellow. Very unpretentious. You'll be passing latmat in numbers of tunes here shortly.
To analyze and categorize - for me, your song evoked a mental image of Jim Croce warming up a Dead crowd at the Garden.
