"Guess I picked the wrong day to give up sniffing glue" - Lloyd Bridges in Airplane
HF is referring to "Calvin & Hobbes", a former US daily comic strip.

Nothing beats the scene in Airport, when that guy slaps the hysterical nun ....
or did the nun slap the guy ?
Oh, whatever, it was still a great moment in cinema (on par with the cow flying over teh castle wall in Holy Grail
;D ;D ;D
Oops, I wet myself.

Hey Peter!
Oh yeah! We were talking about "Hazy Track"!
I certainly don't hear "The Exorcist" in the song. I do hear the 60's drug movie music that Mike alluded to. Primarily a result of the loose structure and heavy echo. Maybe add some sitar in there to drive it home.
If you were interested in developing it, you could do a Pink Floyd style segue into a song with a heavy beat.
This is the kind of stuff I used to experiment with, along with things like scraping a mic against the strings of my guitar, flushing toilets in the background, and lyrics like:
"Sip the sunset into my eyes Sip the sunset - the orange skies Watch the fog come into my life Watch the fog come - feel so confined Keeps stranglin' me Keeps stranglin' me..."
I was kind of a weird kid!

Hey! Thanks for the feedback Charlie, it seems like you were making some pretty weird music when you younger. I like weird music ;D Where can I hear some of your stuff?? Would like to hear the "toilet flush song"... Yes Maybe I should jam some more and see where this hazy track will take me. Maybe the melody can develop into a song with some very long Pink Floyd intro. I don't know.. But I'm working on a lot of thinks these days, so I think I'm gonna concentrate on that, before this Hazy track project". Sketches for new songs are popping up and I think I will try to put some of these ideas down to some finished structure, so I can make some recording again soon. Have a habit never compliting one song before I'm working on some other stuff, STUPID!! Hey like your lyric, very intense. Actually kinda fits the feeling in "Hazy track" "Sip the sunset into my eyes Sip the sunset - the orange skies Watch the fog come into my life Watch the fog come - feel so confined Keeps stranglin' me Keeps stranglin' me..."

...Charlie, it seems like you were making some pretty weird music when you younger. I like weird music ;D Where can I hear some of your stuff?? Would like to hear the "toilet flush song"... I have some of my teenaged music on my Soundclick page: www.soundclick.com/bands/8/objecksmusic.htmI guess the weirdest would be "Blue Light" and "All Alone." I haven't recorded any of the really weird stuff, though. The "song" that used toilet sounds was called "Peppergrass." It would be impossible to re-create, because it was mostly random noises, radio static, pieces of commercials, etc. Kind of a "Revolution 9" thing. It was a true "original Objecks" projeck, since fellow bandmember Jim Wallace assisted with the recording and noisemaking. Then, mischievous kids that we were, we started calling the local radio station to request "Peppergrass"! ;D Hey like your lyric, very intense. Actually kinda fits the feeling in "Hazy track" "Sip the sunset into my eyes Sip the sunset - the orange skies Watch the fog come into my life Watch the fog come - feel so confined Keeps stranglin' me Keeps stranglin' me..." Well, since both you and Matt like the lyrics, I'll think about recording guitar and vocal for the song "Strangling Me," then put it out to the group for collaboration. Right after I finish two other songs I'm working on... Charlie PS - none of the original Objecks tapes survived one of my mom's spring cleanings.
