Just a word on what you say here, Tom ..... Chris - Thanks for the description , which confirms how I thought the 3200 should work. I am pretty sure that the 2488 works the same way.

I think I posted a detailed description on this topic a month or two back. The 2488 creates its final Master stereo tracks from the Audio-->"Premaster" icon. The new 2488 has mastering capability that the MKI and MKII doesn't have. The 2488 will dither down and burn the song to ISO-standard but it is basically a final mix without mastering. IMO I don't think the 2488 does an adequate job so I never use the CD burner; but it is an easy way to do it.
If you want to master your songs on the computer or send to a mastering house or use Masterlink with advanced dithering then you must export or record the 24-bit master to another device.

Houston has a problem as she hasn't tried to do ANY of this yet! ha! But, I will in time and, I did manage to embed my SoundClick widget on my MySpace page. Now all my songs can be accessed on either site! One small step for mankind, one giant leap for GF!

Dallas has a bigger problem! Tony Romo, Felix Jones, Terrance Newman, Roy Williams (1)'s broken arm, and Pacman Jones' suspension....
