There's just no substituting pulling together a quick diddy on the PS5. I posted a new song on my sites. T1,2 guitar, T3 cello, T4 vocal. Wrote this one for my dad. Surprised him with it today.

Very nice tune that brings back a 60's/70's style; really pretty. I guess it proves that if you know how to capture what you want that even a 4-track gets you there. Can't say that I've followed suit with using the PS5 since the collab.
Keep 'em coming...

Of course I am and will be using mine! A short look in the crystal ball: Zimmy, glasses, nitrospray, diapers, false teeth are all at hand, but where is lil' black'n'blue hiding Hans looks ahead

Hans, I love the collaboration aspect of the PS5. It's very easy to exchange projects as a whole and add to it in compressed mode as it moves along. It doesn't make much sense to exchanged compressed 16-bit tracks into a 24-bit project or you are defeating your purpose. The drawback is that exchanging a WAV file is approximately 10 times larger than its MP3.
As far as my own stuff, I like to record 24-bit tracks and use MIDI tracks inside synth-racks to get a better MIDI sound. I also have EZDrummer which is a synth rack that I use to generate my drum tracks into the 2488 (IMO much better than basic MIDI). I also have mastering tools on the computer I usually use after mixing from the 2488. I still like the physical faders to mix my songs so I don't do it on the computer.
Everyone has their own music tastes and ways of recording. The PS5 is still an option but one I'd only use for collaborations; such as covers.

Nice tune GF. Chris will probably drop in eventually to say how nice the guitars sound. As for me - the lyrics are wonderful! Very moving indeed.

Just dropping in to say how nice the guitars sound...
Nah, of course they sound nice. I'm used to that by now.
Wonderful song, very good lyrics, and the playing & recording is very high standard. As usual.
Daddy's little girl has done very well again !
As for the PS5 : sure thing, we all still use the blue-black wonder. Playing around with other MTR's won't change that.

As for the song: best I heard so far from you Lisa. Kudos! As for the Ps5: "Everyone has their own music tastes (shure!) and ways of recording ( the sound of our preferred music has the least to do with the ways it has been recorded {remember Georg Martin and the 4 guys on 4 tracks? Even Richard Wagners prelude to Lohengrin was once recorded on 2 tracks! And there is Lisa with very touching four tracks!}). Of course modern MTR give me the opportunity to develop my recording skills - if I'am into that. Nowadays everyone could do a Phil Spector "wall of sound" (without shooting nobody - hehe) on a standalone or softwaremultitrackrecordingconsole (phew! was that spelled right?) - I prefer to develop my guitarplaying, composing, musicunderstanding, improvising and interacting skills and will bear witnness by offering evidence of that recorded on the ps5. But don't take it too serious. Hans wonders where the carp dives.

I'd say if you have any spare time to be writing & recording new songs then you must be doing something right! It's a luxery and a great hobby. I don't think many ever take their music too seriously... but I do think if you perform professionaly then that's a whole different ballgame... and if you are good enough to ever make it as a living, you can easily ruin your life being consistently on the road doing it.
Yep campfire songs and playing guitar with good friends & family is the way I like it. Secondary to that is writing and recording by myself.
Where is the Carp?

No, I'm here. It's part of my routine to read every message, and I'm always here at least twice a day. But I've been so @#$%& busy lately, I haven't had time to sit down and give the new songs a proper listen the way they deserve. I will catch up eventually.
Out of (your) sight, out of (my) mind - that's my motto.

Yeah, Stan, one door closes - the other opens up that moment. Nothing better than making music - in any way! Mike: out of the pond - that's my motto Hans works

Hang in there Mike! The past couple of months have been the same for me... deadlines are getting more and more unreasonable at work and hrs/week are too high to do any decent music, or even getting in the mood.
Hope things slow down for you. Take care.

Hi there! To take it down to the basics of what it’s all about: Here’s little black’n’bluey, three guitars and a pattern. Sorry for the missing vox – I lost my singing voice to my new companion: the asthma! But anyway, the feet work and here is: The Twangsters dancing lesson! www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=499139&content=musicFeel free to join the hop and jump around like there’s no tomorrow (and no kids/colleagues/neighbours watching!). Don’t take this to your preferred coffehouse, bar or church – it’s for disco-dancefloors only! 1 – 2- 3 - 4 – move your feet get on the floor! Cheerio!

Thanx for listening and your kind words. Just made an update to that track to straighten out the wah-guitah.
What about a quick collab on a christmas song?
