I like it; It's multi-layered and has a very sophisticated arrangement, much like "Persephone". If I wanted to be hyper-critical, I could say that it was almost too restrained. I kept waiting for the Phil Collins drums to come crashing in. But it's quite the little jewel nonetheless.

It's definitely always a songwriter's decision on which way to go with presentation, but I think Mike pretty much nailed it. I listened to this a few days ago and was thinking close to the same thing. I don't care at all for the light percussion instrument in the background that sounds like a distant chopper.
If it were my song I would make it progressive and let it build more towards the end, and that requires some good sounding drums. But, then again, maybe that is not the feeling you want the listener to come away with.
The song was sung very well and the acoustic guitar really sounds good! hmmmm... still looking for a "Like" button.
