Hey Guys,
I've been working on a "classical" piece for several months (although maybe it doesn't sound like it!?) but here it is! I picked it up off an Andrea Bocelli CD, and the song resonates (considering the Iraq and Afghanistan situations) and I just had to do it!
The volume's a little low (I set the MP3 meters at one "bump" over the break) so you might have to crank it up a bit; hope you like it!

Hey There
Cool tune. Is that a stero thing there your doin with the vocal, pretty cool. Only thing I can think of Suggesting is that the acoustic is a little quiet. But very pretty and I think it deserves to be heard alittle louder in the mix. Other then that, very well done. Nice clean vocal. I like listening to music in different languages. Its always a little different. Very good job

sheesh.. well done! i wish i knew italian. so pretty. any interest in a monolog like roger did with me but in italian?? obvously i could not get any lyrics to rhyme so that may be an issue. im gonna point my dad to this song and see if he recognizes any words (he used to speak it as a boy with his nana). Very beautiful tune. Really takes me back to Napoli. Authentic Italian feel in the music. But we're in America now, boy, so speak English!

mike- thanks for the praise! (been hoping to hear from U!)
think there's any way to "tweak" the volume a bit?- i'm showing 1 bump "over" the limits now?
Oh yeah, and ya know, if i'd given you the lyrics, it might have made more sense; here they are:
I love you and I'm trembling Said the woman To her soldier. Who wouldn't be coming back Her plaintive voice Was carried by the wind Across the chilling snow To where her soldier fought
I'm trembling and I love you She whispered as she cried And in the darkness of the room Somebody laughed. In conquest of the fear That this love was about to end.
But sweet memories can betray you The soldier doesn't feel anything anymore.
Too late, his enemy strikes Suddenly, from behind Who, strangely, was speaking Of roses, of wine, of life's other joys That were promised him in another life Oh, how many brides will war take away From the first night's warm embrace
I'm trembling and I'm cold Said the soldier To his enemy, a man, just like himself His voice hung motionless in the wind Heard by the silent audience of those that fell before him.
