I liked it - a quiet offering for a 5:00 AM listen. Your voice reminded me of Cat Stevens (or whatever he calls himself now.) You mentioned cello/strings. Have you considered a 12-string, instead, to add a little more depth to the instrumentation? If you don't have one (doesn't everybody?), you could use the built-in PS5 12-string EFX. Other than that, I'd want to keep the instrumentation simple, like it is now.

thanks . . . yeah, i usually use the 12 string efx but somehow went with heaven . . . when i say rough, this song came to me at about 8 at night and by midnight i was putting it onto my computer. not thrilled with all the lyrics, but i do think "sparse" is the way i'll go . . . thanks for the feedback . . . and i think cat goes by musaff (sp) or something like that now . . . gotta give him credit though, he definitely stands behind his beliefs . . .

Hey Its a good start to a good song. I think you should try some drums for this song. Try the Ps5 bass aswell. That thing is a band in a box if you know how to use it. Which I dont. lol.

Hey Rog! are you using that vocal effect or is that straight? yea that is what your music reminds me of cat stevens!! he changed his name? in parts you sound JUST like springsteen too!! if you want some simple cello accents that can be arranged! that would be a NICE addition i hear it too. tambourine or eggshake would sound good but thats it! (keepin it simple) great job!!!

Hey Rog, Very nice- cool tune, nice, plaintive tone; good emotions, clean production- and I love clean productions! I'd like to hear a dread guitar (more depth) or bass behind it; Maybe someone that plays bass will volunteer?

thanks guys, as i said, four hours start to finish after the muse bit me (and no jokes matt) . . . yeah, tony, deepen up the guitar, i agree. and matt, i tried vocals WITHOUT A NET, no effects. i did buy a samson mdr6 mixer today that i will play with. so, i think i will re-record the whole thing and see what you think . . . thanks for the encouragement. let's see, cat stevens, bruce springsteen, frank sinatra, next week i am going to sound like roger . . . .
