hey guys - finally got around to focusing on some recording these last few days and was able to hammer out this song, which has been kicking around for months. anyway, it's finally committed to ones-and-zeroes, and out of the way so i can move on to other stuff it's called "Maybe You Will" and can be d/led, here: paulbrisbin.com/MP3/maybeyouwill.mp3and also, i'm two seconds from adding it to my soundclick page: www.soundclick.com/paulternatehope you dig it! later- -paul EDIT: hmm. having some issues with downloading it. working on fixing it. technology is great

Man Great job
I love the melody on this song. With a full band this song would totally rock. Great song writing. I hope you expand on this musical Idea.

I down loaded it from your website paul. But I did try it at sounclick and it was only 18 seconds long for me. I assumed it was because you werent done uploading it yet or something. Id try re uploading.

Good song Paul. I really like the transition at 0:49 following the first verse where two voices are introduced. Just a thought: later in the song you might return to another rendition of the first verse (?) I too got only an 18 sec sampler when I downloaded from your SoundClick page. (a very boring sampler too ) I downloaded from your web page. Good to hear some of your music again. Jim

Paul " yea baby you will" cool harmonies!! whoa!
i may lose the electric guitar but thats just personal preference, great ditty! thats a cool effect with the doubled guitar it throws the timing ever so a little funky

Hey Paul!
Great blue-sy sound!
I know what it's like to want to put a song behind you! On the other hand, if you decide to revisit it --
I could envision a bass - snare - maraccas - maraccas kind of percussion backing.
Might just be my stereo (or my ears since I'm recovering from a bad cold), but all the instruments seem to be coming from the left side. The backing vocal on the right helps to balance that, but it's only there for a short part of the song. You might consider panning the bass guitar toward the right.
Just some thoughts. Good song! Great guitar work!

thanks, fellas, for the listen and the words. actually, mattl, that's not an electric guitar, but a piano i ran through a distortion pedal ... had it been turned up a bit more, it would've been clearer - i think. but, i settled on a more subdued, electric-guitar-like sound. why? who knows charlie, yeah. much of it is actually panned dead-center. the hard-piano comes in a bit to the right a bit way through, but not much to notice. i was, admittedly, asleep at the wheel on that one having given it a few listens, i'll probably fiddle with it. thanks again for the spins, gents- -paul

Listened to it. Interesting. I like the tune, lyrics, guitar work. Not my style (doh) but the way I'd suggest producing it takes it even farther from "my" comfort zone-
I'd suggest a Keith Moon, wild man type drummer, heavier bass, otherwise, I think you've got a winner!
Just my .o2cents!

Loved the vocals as usual. If I lived in your neck of the woods I would just have one thing to say: "Would you please be my lead vocalist in the new band I wan't to put together."
Charge on... P.S. --- up the drive on your vocals
