Rob,
Very nice pieces (I listened to Sea of Life and Want).
Words on this one are really touching, I bet your mom is very happy with your feelings from where she's looking down on you these days.

Rob,
You decided not to add guitar. Sounds good with just piano. I like how you brought the strings in at the end.

Not that the first version was bad, but I think I really like this version much better. I'd bring the strings up just a tad, but that's me. You two have really caught a mood - super.
Jim, with you doing this, and me reworking Latmat's song, maybe we should start calling ourselves The Remix Twins?

Jim, actually the strings are there from the second verse but just ever so low to give it a touch of body, but i like the sound of them at the end so i left them hanging there...and the guitar? it would be such a shame to ruin your piano!!
Your piano is so good jim. you have really listened well and understood exactly what i wanted to bring out, i can see that we are on the same wavelength. i listened to just the piano on its own for about an hour last night before i mixed it. beautiful. im going to try installing cubase on the computer and playing the ps5 to it so that i can cut and past your piano for a long intro and then a long outro.
Mike, thanks and i know what you mean about the different mixes....and the strings! i was mixing it last night thinking mikes gonna listen to this and say "where are those bloody strings i advised him to raise!!"...so ...how do you fancy giving the mix a go? the files are in mmm...sol3.zip...
thanks again jim.

Rob & Jim, Great piano Jim! Rob you have a haunting style in your voice that mesmerizes me, good work, I think you have one of the better original voices here. Please keep writing and recording. Cool stuff Cat! Tom

Wow! Rob, I just listened to the latest remix (I've been away from the board for almost a week). I like what you and Mike have done. I'm looking forward to recording Angie against your voice! Great song, Rob. I really enjoyed recording it and it's always going to have a little extra meaning for me. Jim
