Hate to bombard with old classics but these are alot easier than writing and creating something. Really got into the classic rock mode this weekend since I have time to forget about work for a couple of days. J.J. Cale wrote it, and Eric really played it. Since it was a 4 chorder I figured it would be easy and fun. Too much Waah pedal but enjoyed recording it almost as much as Stairway. www.soundclick.com/bands/6/leftbrainedmusic.htmListen when you get some time. Thanks, Stan

Stan, Cocaine was great, I liked the acoustic guitar! Perhaps the mix was a bit drum heavy? Ask around, I might be nuts! Thanks Tom aka SpinCat

Tom,
I'm sure you're quite accurate about the drums. I mixed two PS5 drum patterns into the mix, and I was a bit sloppy about the whole thing.
It was one of those 2 hour projects for some instant gradification (no, I've never used or understood cocaine). All I know is that is nothing to fool around with.
Thanks for observation. Stan

Wow, quite Zappaesque; the voice reminds me (in a positive sense!) of the Dylan-impersonation on the "Bobby Brown"-album (I think it was in "Flakes", wasn't it?) And I like all that different guitars. For my ears much more interesting and thrilling than the original ;D

Sounds like a Petty bootleg rehearsal! Funky intro, good guitar (as always). I think your voice benefits from less effect, rather than more, as you usually do. A lot of us are self-conscious about our voices, but this is probably one of the best vocals you've done so far. Sometimes the throwaway efforts work better than the ones you spend hours on. This may be such a thing.
