Guys, New song, and don't worry this is just rock 'n' roll, no serious lyrics, and hopefully it balances out "Sea of Life" WantRob

Hey Rob,
Couldn't figure if it was Lennon, Weezer, or Nirvana, but it was definitely cool.
Rock on Garth... Stan

Cool. I agree with stan very nirvana mixed with weezer. Weezer is one of most fav. bands so I like it alot. My only complaint is I want the vocal in the forground to be less Distorted but with the back up distorted behind it. But Very Awesome sound alittle short. Another verse and A solo would do it for me even just a solo and another chorus would make this tune Poprockalishish lol.
Just my thoughts and opinion great Job. Awesome

This is more like it! Thanks for the suppport lads. Weezer!! "Say it ain't So" is my favorite track, awesome band, Cam you'll like this: I saw em at Reading festival 96 just after lunch on the main stage. They followed "Ice T" (it was one of those 3 day festivals so i guess coordination was tricky..?) anyhow its england so its raining and the crowd arent really looking forward to see Ice T but he comes on stage and during the second tune someone in the crowd slings a handful of mud. long and short of it is that he stops the gig and starts cussing the crowd for messing with his threads (someone eventually hits him!!) it gets very embarrassing but he muddles (pun intended) through it and the second band come on. Weezer. Second tune and a hand full of mud is projected to the stage. the bass player, calmy as if it was rehearsed takes the neck of his bass turns it so the strings are towards him and swings it like a bass ball bat. the mud returns to the crowd at twice the speed, the guitar is back under his arm in fluid motion, it was hilarious. then there is mahem and all the band members (with out missing one beat) spend the rest of the song ducking and side stepping, and not one hit. i dont think they even mentioned it at the end of the song, fantastic!
Matt, ps5 bass/drums..(fingerbass). (tele tr 1 and 2, shure/presonus track 3 and 4). and i shall take cams comments on board.
Garth

I like it, but it is too short. It also could use another sort of change, a verse or middle eight. Reminded me of the 70's glam-rock sound, like early Bowie, Sweet, etc. Good tight rock sound. Put some solos in, eh?

Thanks Mike
yeah "sweet"!! and im a secret t-rex fan...well not any more.
you know i rerecorded yesterday with your advice..it now has a m8 and finishes with a verse/chorus...its in groupshare on mmmstudio with a gap for some electric. i guess you have noticed that i cant play lead, infact i can only play about 8 chords! and thats fine cos i really crashing out the rhythm and singing. i had a chat with stan after i listened to cocaine and asked him if he'd like to provide the lead...so i'm very excited to see hear whatever he puts down.
thanks for the comments to all, spot on...you always are.
i have been so well focussed since i joined this site, with the equipment purchases and the the very advice you boys provided for this song. i hope i have captured all your comments on this song...and will on the next one!!
[Too short? I agree but I'm not confident enough to make anything longer than 2 mins. If i get a respnse like this and people want help make it worthy of going past the 2 minute barrier then i will look to real musicians to collaborate, but i ain't a real musician! saying that i'm also really interested in seeing how far a can push the 2 minute rock song...]
cheers
