when played backwards i swear i heard "paul is dead" . . . nice job matt . . . seems to be a bit of tom waits taking over, particularly with rusty as a bandmate . . . seriously, you have become such the multi-talented instrumentalist it makes me sick . . .
roger
meanwhile, i plug my damn geetar into that blue box, twirl the whell a few times and hope something goes in so something will come out . . . hmmmm, kinda like christmas dinner . . .

Very Instresting matt. I dont know what to say about the lyric cause like you said not very many. And cant understand what I can hear (too Quiet). Deffienatly an original sound I cant think of anything thats sounds like your style. Hope you work on it some more so I can hear the finished product

see rog, you're not alone, mines a 'draft' too cam i was focusing on production, clean & level mix/ etc.. whatcha think o that? words were an afterthought.. you think thatd make a song (something about makin music)? if you think so id think about developing lyrics.. rog, i was listening to nighthawks at the diner last wk maybe some rubbed off. did you know he played renfield in dracula? that was surprising for me to find out. its synth guitar so its only drums and gtr. rustys a rough character, sorta a slobberin jawbone kinda fella. good to have his influence in the song btw i posted some of your songs on lamplight/zina is that ok?

Well Im not too well inversed in recording technology matt. Beside what little I know about the PS5. I concentrate 100 times more on songwriting then recording. So I guess it was ok. I thought you were on it already. Youve done way more odd ball type lyrics than that!! and I think thats a good topic for a song. Besides the fact that a ton of songs are about that very subject!

Hey Matt!
Nice and melancolic, it just goes on and never gets boring.
I couldn't make the words either, but I did like the overall song.
Nice work

Hey Matt,
Since I've been a Neil Young fan since the very beginning I could still barely deferintiate between your vocals and his, and that sad blues type of melody abd backing sounded like his type of style. Hate to sterotype but it is true.
Loved it overall but was main concentrating on your sound more than the lyrics.
Don't start on taking back a song the day after you post. That is my claim to fame around here.
Let's do something on Neil Young's harvest album sometime.

common problem im told solved by taking a purchasing hiatus and actually practicing.

Hey Matt, Where is the instant gradification in that? ;D Nobody likes every song of anybodys. There were quite a few Beatles songs that I wouldn't listen to more than once. The beauty of recording is the magic of somtimes suprising yourself by hitting some bad notes that sound pretty good, and sometimes wasting time on some songs that you know you could probably do better on (and the next time you will) In my opinion, expermentation is the key to improvement. You never know until your try. Happy New Year Matt (keep practacing ON THE PS5) Stan

Isnt the beatles funny that way. They wrote some of the best songs ever written and some of the worst songs ever written. lol. There's some beatle songs that I dont know how anybody could possibly like. Then at the same time I admire the great songs they have written. I guess every 1 has wrote some real stinkers in there time. Except Diane Warren Shes my song writing hero. I dont know how one person can write so many hits. Not just hits but great songs too. The amount of royalties she gets from songs is insane like 20 million a year or something just crazy! But Im sure shes done some stinkers too we just dont get to hear those. ;D

Ah, okay. No proof to back up your absurd claim. Good.
