its good cam, very good.
And since i know you enjoy the critique ...do you have a spare track for another vocal? If you do it would be interesting to see how it sounds with backing vocals (chorus effect on the ps5)
there, thats my 2 cents...and now i'm looking forward to your next one!

yea lol. Tired of working on it lol. Really should get that out of there but hey. I still have this cold that doesnt want to get out of me. So its amazing thats all that got on there. Hacking and sneezing gee whiz. Ill fix that some day!
Thanks for the remarks guys. Rob I dont have another track but I could bounce but Im lazy and dont like to bounce! I like to be able to conrol eq, levels, REDO. And bounce pretty much screws all that up. But I'll try some backup vocals someday.
Gamma glad you like it.
Wow thats a huge compliment thanks its been 7 months roughly since I got my Ps5 so just over a half a year. Im glad Im improving at an accelerated rate.lol. I am soon starting voice lessons also so hopefully that will help too.
Keep the comments coming guys I know there's more of you out there. lol

Good song Cam. Yea, I'm jealous of your voice. You've made good use of it in your songs. I too would like to hear a backup vocal on the chorus, but I understand the wanting to be done with a song feeling. I don't think you've ever added a second vocal in any of your songs have you? How about on your next one?
Good for you. I'm joining a Community Choir at a near by community center. It starts up at the end of January. Looking forward to it.

Well-constructed chord progressions, lyrics tell a coherent story, melody is interesting. Good job. I like the little guitar breaks throughout.
If I had my hands on the file, I'd remix it, bring the backing up, take out that cough, bounce things around and double up the vocal, mainly in the choruses. The solo seems kinda weak compared to the rest of the song.
This is one of those instances where the recording and writing is all great, but post-production needs to be of equal level to make it a great number.

Hey
Thank everyone for the comments. Though I must admit I didnt have camp fire song in the back my mind. lol. I thought more country.
Jim I try to sing good but I think all of us are alittle insecure in our voices. Its one thing we cant change we cant just buy a new voice cause of how it sounds tone wise. All we can do is do the best we can with it. Work with our own voice to get it to the best of our ability. Tell you what sometimes I wish I had a lower voice. I cant change that though!
Any way One of this days I try a sec. vocal for yahs, you can expect harmonies. lol.
Mike I agree with you completely. All post production stuff would be great. I should get an fancy computer program that can really do that kind of stuff! Highlight the little cough take volume right down on that little tiny spot. lol. Sounds nice!
Thanks guys.
I feel a G.A.S. attack coming on.

Cameron,
Let me clarify my "Camp Fire" songs:
Croce, Taylor, even Mathews, (any song that can just be an acoustic guitar and voice with nothing else needed) which could, of course, be most country.

Ohh Ok. I still think of camp fire songs as those hokey songs they play around the fire when your in Cub scouts. lol. You know fun songs and what not.
Thats a good thing then Cause I really like those guys! All three of em are great!
