I wrote & recorded this song a couple of weeks ago and just now had some time to finish a mx. The vocals were never written down until after I sang and recorded them. It was the first time I instinctively sang a song without completely knowing what I was going to say. I decided to keep the track but the words are hard to pick out. The lyrics are also included. I'm still going for that "Left Behind" series soundtrack single! Maybe that's my ticket out of the software development world (which is just as boring as being an accountant these days) If you get a chance to listen: www.soundclick.com/bands/8/stangulleymusic.htmThanks, Stan

Sweet Stan, Reminds me of something, the guitar any ways, I just wish it had a better vocal mix but it sounds rocking!
Good work, Cameron

very nice!! if it wasn't for the lyrics i picture a small texas roadhouse with the band on stage behind a chicken wire barricade . . . got that type of feel . . . and that's a GOOD thing . . . are you going to remix the vocals? bring them up!!!

Yeah, it'd be a shame to let the difficulty in hearing the vocals mar this fine little three-chorder. Very much in a Stones style, while the lead part reminds me just a bit of Alvin Lee. A song guaranteed to make you drive too fast.

Stan,
maybe my original message for this song was a little over keen.
This song is great. I love it, and i would love to give the vocals a go. Not that i could improve on yours, just that i love the song, and i would like to cover the vocal...karaoke style!!

oh yea stan! lets get the vocals recognizeable, good groove!! or leave em and lower the volume a little bit on vocals its cool... interesting to hear what the words actually are i have no idea:) i know you do this on purpose, but hey it does add an element of mystery hey is that your wah pedal thats doing the wind blowing those tubleweeds around after the concert behind the chicken wire?? (at the end of the song)? cool sound!!!

It's definitely a ROCKER ! Nice guitar work with all the overdubs. Like the other, I'd like to actually be able to hear what you were singing about ;D

Hey Rob, I'd love to see what you can do with the vocals! This was the first time I actually wrote down the lyrics after I sang it. Not a good way to get confident vocals into a song. There are no shortcuts when recording. I probably bounced without saving the initial tracks so I may have to recreate it. If you move too fast when recording songs you can get burnt. In fact I don't even remember how to play the riffs??? Guess I'll have to tab my own music... Think it will be more enjoyable doing a collab. than the original . I'll let you know when it is ready for vocals. Thanks Rob, Stan

Sgulley:
Great tune, very raw and simple I like the guitars a lot, I had a little problem with the vocals I could not understand but maybe the problem are my headphones , but I loved the lead guitar.
Great Work.

Matt, Yea it was the WAH pedal at the end that gave the tumbleweed (west Texas) effect. I don't about going in to small Texas towns and playing this behind chicken-wire though with beer bottles throw at me (might be hard to explain to the wife) Stan
