Haven't written a song since before the Stones project so I thought I would give it a try. I was a little reluctant to post it, but thought I try to get back into a creative groove again. The phrasing is a little sloppy but it does rock in parts. Posted @ www.soundclick.com/bands/6/leftbrainedmusic.htmStan

Nice track Stan! A "Guitar-O-Rama", with some very fine lead work there! Glad you decided to post it after all.

Lot of anger here, Stan. But of course, that's okay. Sounds something like Dylan fronting the Clash. I see what you mean about the phrasing, but overall I think this is a neat track. Some very clever (and subtle) things going on here.

i now have 2 (yes 2) songs to start working on- ones in a similiar vein as this (wtf is wrong with the world sort of thing).
as usual my complaint is hearing the lyrics (& your voice) a bit more. i think youre onto something here your voice sounds better just wish i could here it more..
your playing is getting better good rock on solo at the end!!

Great tune, stan
Lots of attitude in this one, I dig the raw playing not so terribly accurate but it really fits the style of the track! I like the lyrics, really good.
Awesome job capturing that feel! Cameron

Mike, I think part of the anger expressed was conjured up from the "The School Of Rock" movie I saw last week. The school teacher expressed how to achieve a Rock 'N Roll attitude (getting Mad at the Man I think was the phrase). Maybe it was carried a bit too far, but the global job market is really dipping so that was my original theme that could be shared with some of us older folk. I can't deny that Dylan has infunced me quite a bit. I think I bought every one of the his' albums. Thanks for listening & commenting. I really appreicate the feedback. Maybe next time I'll try a more polished song. Cam, still can't wait to hear some of your new effects! Stan

Hey Stan! Good song! Ditto much of what's already been said about Dylan, phrasing, anger, etc. I love the raw guitar sound! Reminds me of your multi-guitar work on "Running Down a Dream." Charlie

I wanted to wait to find time to write a proper review...but just cant ,...so :
Keeping in mind that i have onlu known all of you since novemeber!....
stan, this is a quantum leap beyond what you have done so far...not so much in terms of guitar(thats always rocking! although this is a little better than usual), but the lyrics/voice/emotion/ delivery is something very special. i know what you mean about the film school of rock, i too saw last week. What you have done here is special cos your voice and mind are totally at one with the music, and its totally communicated. totally synchronised energy. this is a performance not just a "ill get this idea down and come back later to rerecord".
In other words this is !@#$ing excellent!!
thanks for the music. awesome

Hey Stan!
The song does rock. You're really complaining and giving it to the man.
I also saw The School of Rock recently. I was very pleased with the over all movie, but I do think that rock is about music a lot more than it is a "way of thinking" or an "attitude". I totally agree with your song, but my disagreement with the movie is that rock has touched every thinkable human emotion, not just anger.
Any way, back to your music, congratullations! I really enoyed it. Most of all, your guitar work!
Keep it up!

Ooops, School of Rock was a comedy so I hope my link about using it to motivate my song was mainly to be humorus. Unfortuneately my dry sense of humor goes unrecognized as being very funny sometimes. In my opinion, rock is music that is meant to be fun. I don't know if it is a great avenue to convey serious Dylan-like quotes. Guess this subject could be controverial. Thanks for the feedback on this, it has been great. Thanks for the complements, I'll take em when I can get em. Stan

Hey Stan,
About the movie. It is a comedy, and a good one (in my opinion). I went to watch it with my kids and we all enjoyed it and made jokes.
My only comment to my wife afterwards was what I said about rock not only being anger but a greater rainbow of feelings.
But again, I totally agree with you initial quote. You did tell the man a few things he really deserved, and in a very good way. Again, congratulations on a great song!
