Nice track Matt.....very thoughtful lyrics, and just the right guitar "atmosphere" for them!

Hey Matt this is a really good song Idea, I like to hear the Acoustic a bit louder, and a bass line would be good too. Great lyrics and the your melodies a getting more and more developed, Great job. Lots of really good Idea in this tune!

Y'know Matt, I sit here nearly every day and read your posts, and sometimes I just have to roll my eyes and groan. But then you come up with stuff like this, and I have to ask myself, 'Is he mad, or a genius?'.

melodies a getting more and more developed, Great job. Lots of really good Idea in this tune! Cameron really?!? i thought it was awfully monotonous i was focusing on timing and lyrics. well thats cool.. i was hoping the synth would add some interest, maybe it did. are you volunteering for bass? yea, its kinda wierd w/drums andm no bass but i got the drums low so its merely a click almost.. i think it works, i make it work as im no bass player i cant do anything about gtr volume i did vocal/gtr live on same track. i would like the drums up a smidge now that i listened a bunch.. but its done (im sick of it) unless somebody really heres a cool bass.. that could maybe disguise the 3 chord progression to the untrained ear at least comments greatly apprecited.. though i know its getting better all around its still somehwat freaky releasing to the public.. thanks !!

yeppers for this time around.. ive tried using a pair of mic's one pointed at 12th fret one at the body, yada yada.. as mike was saying whatever works. my acoustic is not the hottest sounding particularly with these 12 yr old strings, so i go for a sound that i can get. this one i had tabletop mic stand (12") holding my elcheapo but goodo studio projects b1 large diaphram condenser pointed somewhere between my mouth and the 12th fret (angled slightly up the neck too, not directly at me) , next time ill point more towards guitar particularly with dead strings to get more balance. i really like not having to bounce is why im trying it that way.. although frank has a good method when he needs more gracks ill try next time (mixing each track as an mp3 and then taking over to the computer).
i tried an older used acoustic at lunch today a ul4000 or something like that -yamaha, it had that color to the wood older acoustics get, a perfect setup and thin neck played like a electric, very mellow sound: but i couldnt pay 500 for a yamaha. i guess i should try to get over the branding thing and do what the gut says, it played/sounded great

last time i checked, strings weren't really all that expensive . . . more now than 12 years ago . . . but with inflation and all (and considering the topic of your song) you should pop for at least three new strings . . . i would go for the three high ones first for a bit more of a ring (plus they're way thinner and will cost you less) . . . then maybe for your birthday or christmas or something you could ask for the other three . . . . just a suggestions . . . .
