Great, Roger!
Just what I expected to hear, good job keeping the original feel.

I didn't listen to the previous version, so I'm judging this on its own merits. Interesting song, but I'd like to hear the volume between the guitar and vocal to be more balanced. The guitar is very soft, but the vocal is quite a bit louder. Except around 2:15 when it sounds like you're turning away from the mic. I also think more instrumentation would be helpful, starting in the second verse. Maybe not as much as Cam puts on ( ), but it needs something else. Even tho I know this is a second runthrough, it feels like a basis for further experimentation.

Well, I liked it. I do agree with Mike that ALL the recording volumes could have been turned up. I had my volume max-ed out and I still needed more. That's a common mistake to almost all new recordists (and sometimes the OF's), but it's definitely not a criticism of the song or its performance. You sound like Springsteen - to use Stan's analogy. I do have difficulty understanding your lyrics sometimes, but you've got conviction which is something that my voice lacks. Hey, on second thought, maybe that's MY style, i.e. having No-Style at all.

Roger,
Real-crystal guitar. Pro vocals. Great job. Stan
