I took a tip from Rob this week on the Beatles song and after trying his tips Then I realized what Cam and everyone was saying... it is simply out of reach for me. So I took a song which matched better but still hit a few sours here and there. Robs tips were very helpful, and bouncing double-vocals to one track really helps. While I was recording the lead I found a PS5 guitar effect that I'd never used: Fusion2. It makes it almost sound like you are playing two guitars on just one track. My wife gave me a funny look walking through during playback, but I thought it was unique and actually very interesting. www.soundclick.com/bands/6/leftbrainedmusic.htm

Great, this song really is more fit to your voice! Great job picking a song that really works. Good playin, I like how you keep the leads in the background, I always go for the loud in your face kinda of lead. Just really good, Im digin it! Cameron

Thanks Cam & Matt for your support and listening. Yeah, I take my wife's opinion about music with a grain of salt. It is said that opposites attract, and that is definitely true in our case.
Now that the group project is over I am forced to start recording vocals again. One of these days I might even start enjoying them. But, I haven't yet. I do enjoy writing lyrics so writing again is probably where I'll head when I get spare time; and do a cover every once and a while just to break the ice.
Hope others have time to do some covers as well as originals. For me, other people's music is where I learn from. My learning has mostly been the parrot vs. the true musician approach' since I know little about the fundamentals of music theory.
