Old youth song that was rocked-up a bit (influenced by "The Kry") I was inspired by the simple lyrics about a blind man crying out as Jesus walked by him in the crowds, and His instant healings. Or, identifying Himself to the Samaritan woman at Jacob's Well, at a time when it was the Jewish custom not to speak or accosicate with a Samaritan. Another quick project where there were do redos except a few takes on the vocal. Blind Man: www.soundclick.com/bands/8/stangulleymusic.htm

stan, as usual great guitars . . . i'm jealous as usual . . . but the vocals fit great, seems as if you took more time on them but you say it was a quick job . . . maybe it's because of the depth of the feeling . . . nice song, good beat, easy to dance to, give it a 95 . . .

Sweet, Stan! I liked this great cover, this one reminds me of my own tune 'closer to hope'. Good vocals some outta tune moments but for the most part one of your strongest performances. Stan, If I can make a suggestion, try singing a little softer when singing and think more about the air supporting the notes. You got plenty of power but the pushing causes some bad tone. Theres a moment in the song where I heard you soften up and it sounded awesome! Theres a great voice there man, just needs a little work! Great guitar tone also, I loved the faint lick at the end awesome man! Cameron

Now this sounds like Blue Oyster Cult! I agree with Cam, don't push the vocals, use less FX. Overall this sounds more polished than some of your other recent work. Getting better all the time.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll watch the over-doing it on the vocals and try softening a bit. I played this song live a couple of times before, about 5 years ago. I've never sang it live of course, but, Yes I do know the song in my head pretty well. It is only Am, G, F. So it is pretty hard to get lost in the chords. Really appreciate taking the time to listen. Stan

IYep that why it reminded me of my song there, same chord progression pretty much, for the verse anyway.

Yes, Blue Oyster Cult (particularly the guitar in the opening).
Keep rockin' Stan!
