oh.. since the wife qwill be out tonight ill try and lay a track.. im very familiar with it so as soon as i dial in the tempo im used to ill give a go reciording guitar/vocal on the same track to give us as many options as possible.. once we get that far i have some ideas.. this is l;abelled "traditional" on the book so i have to assume its cool to steal

ok heres rough mix of what i got.. mostly i like the vocs, the rythm track could be improved lots but im kinda tired here and the coffees not working anymore today.. so the way i hear it is my "rythm" track 1 full notch below the vocal track, your rythm a bit louder than my rythm (which ill likely redo but keep low in mix), filling some different eq ranges between the gtrs. i was THINKING itd sound good if you sang on the B C#m D A E "oh the dreadful wind and rain" part in the second half of each verse.. the first verse is e a d e i think was thinking id fade that back not too loud depedning on the sound of it. of course just my ideas .. if you have some sorta urge to do othersie give a go please did you wanna do friend of the devil and have me do whatever? (we have this sorta tradition where the collaboration initiator kinda guides the song. thats why i offer.. ), dont wanna seem like the gestapo here. so you have a drumset in the garage too?!?! wow.. keep listening to me and you';ll be digging it out just like jim did!! (he was our resident piano/kb player and turns out he plays drums great too) anyhow file's are lamplight.no-ip.org/wind1.zip

Got the Files.. I'll work on it over the weekend.. I'll follow your lead on this.. I'm just up for trying it.. Mix and arrange it however you want.. I ran across Missississppi Half step uptown tooodaloo.. I forgot all about that song, and that I even used to play it on reg basis.. so maybe that one after this.. ran across the drum set cheap a couple months ago.. needs work and new cymbals.. used to play drums in HS, but was never any good on a kit.. Wife put up with it in living room for about 2 months and my girls and I wailed on it for fun, but well now it's out in garage..
I'll upload the stuff tomorrow night for Me and My uncle. .. depends on how Late I get home from LA.

Mississippi isnt too hard. Two basic chord patterns, the verse pattern is long, but easy to remember.
lets see Row Jimmy row is a cool one.. It must have been the roses.. I like brown eyed women.. candyman, Bobby songs tend to be more in my vocal range, but you are right some are hard. Sugar magnolia.. heh.. so many..
I'm looking forward to trying to get something down this weekend on what you set up.

Matt, I couldn't resist mixing down the acoustic only stuff after I added my part. Hope you don't mind, but it sounded so good with just the acoustic. I didn't post here, but its on my webspace. I'll send you PM with it, and you can decide if you want others to hear at this point since this is your baby..

wife is asking me 'how come his stuff sounds so clean/good compared to yours?' just give it a year or obsessive compulsive hyper focus while going through emotional and physical withdrawal from a very addictive drug. piece o cake. works EVERY time. really.. seriously the better i get the more i hear the need for improvement hey anyhow.. heres the song, charlie if you wanna add bass its here we'll just repost: lamplight-no-ip.org/wind1.0.zip i just added some basic bass with the guitar synth the songs called "oh the dreadful wind & rain" on www.soundclick.com/mattlits all a little fuzzy from the boune.. too me its really apparent.. a wierd thing the bounce messed with eq all over the place.. i had to go much lower on the bass (not that THAT is necessarily bad) but still.. i had to use less reverb too after the bounce . both vocals are in the bounce so thats probably a BAD thing.. spike is guitar right (12 string strum) im guitar left (hybrid mattified strum/pick) background vocal spike on chorus' next time if we know we're gonna have to bounce (and we'd know this if we read an ESSAY that SOMEBODY wrote) we may wanna do all the background first so the vocals or important instruments arent bounced.. what do you say spike should we either: forgo the drums/bass so we have a clear mix or i could do the drums/bass on the computer to clear it up.

We could always re-record it with the proper bounce sequence. Or do whichever of the other options.. I just like to hear what you all do with the recordings.. gives me all sorts of crazy ideas.. Jeff

well the drums dont do much for it.. yank em? otherwise i can get it a little clearer if i use the computer.. without the bounce i had a good interplay with guitars.. seemed to go all fuzzy

I agree that the drums might not add much. I really liked it as acoustic, but I like acoustic almost as much as I like metal ...
