Don't worry Rog, you can't keep a good song down. This would sound really neat with a flute part. It's dark, mysterious and old, the way it should be. You and Stan are into this 'less is more' mode right now. And you're getting away with it. Plus I'd love to have a vibrato like yours.

Enjoyed the rawness of it. Lots of words to sing and try to comprehend for a first listen! Good traditional-sounding piece. Stan

I wish you could buy a nice vibrato! And I don't mean a Bigsby, either.

In the 80's we were all complaining about disco, and clutching our Led Zep albums close to our chests. . .

hey you guys will laugh yer butts off get that movie detroit rock city i keep tellinmg everybody .. everybody get that movie.. everybody? whered ya go? its so funny reminds me of childhood complete with puritanical overbearing kmart buying mom and dad. very funny. its the rock kicks vs the disco world.
i got bigsby on the newish ibanez it works ok, noit much better than the strat. without using a a (gasp) floyd rose it aint bad.. i put those locking tuners on the strat (like what comes on the hi-end ones) they really help the tuning for bends . i like the bigsby look/.gfeel bretter than strat but thats probvabl;y just cause its newer.. youve probably tried all thoisew start tips as far as adding/removing springs in the back of the gtr??

I've heard a rumour the best springs to use in a Bigsby are the same kind they used to use in artificial limbs. . .

That would be handy, but don't go out on a limb if you can avoid it.

Hey Roger!
"John Barleycorn" is another of my top 25! I used to play it a lot way back in the early 70's, but haven't in a long, long time. Your guitar work is a bit more intricate than mine was at the time. I might be able to do better today.
Ever tried Jethro Tull's "Mother Goose" from the Aqualung album? Kind of a similar style of music.
