Did a new Christian song called "The Perfect Savior."
The walk downs got a little grungy which not my in ital intent. But I just let the song take me along....Guess it was that 6/8 beat, can't seem to help myself.
Let me know about the mix. I know the ending is a little fizzled.

Good solid song. I thought the ending was okay. The walkdowns are not so much grungy as well . . . satanic (at least to my ears). Which obviously is not quite the message you want to get across. If everything is walking down, try at least one instrument going up, to counterbalance the situation. I think it's the bass pounding along that makes it seem somewhat gloomy.

Thanks Mike, Definitely not the message I wanted to convey. Will probably pull, and rethink the song.
I'm stuck in this sequence where I construct some kind of chords and patterns, match in some words, record instruments, figure out a melody match for vocals, and then record vocals. Then I usually post all on the same day.
In the case, I was not considering the listener or how the overall message was to be interpreted. The chord arrangements and mood of the song will need to be to reconsidered.
Thanks for your input. Stan

Well, while I don't listen to Christian rock myself, I thought the overall song was like I said, a solid construction. It's easy for an arrangement to go off on its own direction, not always the one you want. I think with a bit of tweaking, you'll get it more in line to match the point of the lyrics. It's all a matter of how you shade in those subtle nuances.

Hmmm...I went to give this a listen, and it wasn't there - I'm guessing you must have pulled it to give it that rethink you mentioned, Stan. I'll watch for its return!
