upped ver to 1.2 , redid guitar part mic'd amp witha little more feeling.. raised vocs, tighter.. fixed up crappy ending with some sustaining gtr..
moving on. summer breeze... makes me feel fine
end update:
upped to ver 1.3: little more bass, little more eq.. heheheh ok ok !
practicing some drum micing/eq suggestions. BIG DIFFERENCE in the toms.. started with a basic electric guitarline that was RATHER upbeat, recorded direct (ibanez into korg ax1000g into mixer/compressor), then added a drumbeat.. moved the overheads to point about straight down at the toms about 1' overhead.. so the cymbals were incidental.. it will take some messing around but it was definitely better sound on toms.. rolled off all lower (80) and mid (800) just as experiemnt. rolled off the 12khz on the kick. had to have my snare mic a little lower due to higher gain on the overheads. so then i added a fake bassline, made up some words. ill likely make some minor adjustments i listened again after a couple hrs working on the other songs and i like it more than when i was working on it. i grabbed anthony's harp at the end.. yes.. a mistake
what? me worry about the wrong key? ill likely kill that and wrap up the end but mostly gonna just leave as is, HENCE i post here
oh.. the little "song" is about the brainmeltdown (in a good way) that i get when im out jogging in the heat in the summer..yes its often enjoyable with loud music in the phones.. as thats just what id done before working on the song.. fresh idea and all.
