its not that hard.. 1, 2 , 3.. in software its kinda amusing (whereas my versioning is deadly serious).. for example novells netware was the king of the netwroking world in the 80s /early 90's, they were at version 3 or thereabouts.. microsoft windows NT comes out, a brand new product., at version 3. then theres the programmers with low self esteem.. version 0.0034 i try to stay with whole numbers as a self esteem BOOST

then theres the programmers with low self esteem.. version 0.0034 Maybe they're just being realistic; Fractions for little fixes, whole numbers for real changes. Like 1.01, 1.13, then 2.04 & 2.07. . .

Yea Matt,
First you're this down-to-earth guy taking his faithful dog for a walk and then the post reads:
Don't worry, if you keep it to 3 significant digits there won't be too much round-ff error.
Example: 3.14159 ;D

wow! what a tempo change will do.. last night i mixed up the chord structure a bit and came up with a happy strummer.. hope to work on it some more tonight and have something for you later.. VERY hard keepin drumtime at this new tempo (130) so i guess that means i better practice that!! in fact i downright could not get drums sounding decent at all.. i can play it about 30 secs error free.. forget accents or rolls.. ill haveta doctor it up just to get the song done at this point,.. came up with some real cool (to me) guitar for this.. more axcited about this one..

oh stan almost forgot: lamplight.no-ip.org/mydog2.5.mp3but thats the old one so please keep in mind.. the new ones totally different but same chords just mixed up..cause its my thang.. do what i wanna do.. i AM working on the new one again tonight which i love the idea of and appear to be unable to play. (2 nights in a ROW w/no success but the late hour shut me off tonight io wouldnt of stopped ill keep workin on it cause its gonna be real neat for me.. a nice really upbeat thing, damn tempos throwin me all over the place.. its alot faster than what im used to.. did a few more takes before it got too late.. nada.. the guitar part has some nice variations too.. and we're only talkin about a 2 minute song.. i couldnt even patch up the drumparts its that bad..

Just saw this post tonight. It sounds even better than the first one. Lots of interesting twists and turns on your guitar tracks. Nice synth stuff.
Different sounds with a bit of complexity for such a simple topic (it was bit like following Pop-eye's magical dog around). Very unique & pleasing to listen to.
Really nice work. Stan

I know that just guitar & vocal recordings alone can be frustrating at times. To get synth and drums in the mix as well would at least be a double burden. I might compare a task like that to playing golf: one day your putts are great on the greens, the next day your fairways shots are good, the next day your tee shots are good. You you never find a day when all work well at the same time. Not a golfer any more. Hang in their Matt, switching and coming back sounds like a good idea. Stan
