i wrote this song.. uh.. yea i wish. van morrison tune i first learned from this band i used to like to go see (from CO roger) called acoustic junction, then name change to something else, then acoustic junction again. . talented kids. about my age now.. shessh.. anyhow they did it like this pretty much but with a looser wrist on the sythm.. i usually can do this rythm much better but i been tense lately anyhow this was on the computer, a free multitracker as i never really finished the last one and i wanted to just do one with this software.. heck of a time on drums of course.. i realized the TONE of the click on the metronome was throwing me so i just today realized this and changed it to some loud drumbeat at thats much better for me.. the ps5s click is certainly clearer. anyhow a real pretty yet powerful song i think youll agree if you havent heard it. this doesnt begin to do it justice. its more fun just playin the darn thing instead of trying to stay on the click.. especially the m m m my m m m my on soundclick

Hey Matt, I haven't been doing many reviews lately, but this one caught my ear. I like it! Your vocals are improving from the last one of your songs I listened to. I always listen to the vocals first. Nice job.

Nice recording Matt. I like the rhythm guitar. Did this recording not involve the PS5 at all?

yea, quartz audio master freeware. 4 stereo tracks is the limit. but since its wav you could mixdown, start a new project, and import the mixdown with minimum quality loss. i may do that to add bass, or simply dump most of the electric which has failed the overnight test its cool having lush chorus on guitar in stereo.. stereo drums.. if the drums were better id have prefered a louder presence in the mix.. i did use the ps5 for monitoring while recording.. (its a wierd setup at the moment as the ps5 is my preferred recording device..)

I've discovered it's very handy to monitor mixes from the 788 with the PS5. An easy way to A/B a mix without having to run to another stereo, etc. Since I always convert the 788 master mixes through the PS5 anyway to make the mp3 that gets posted at Soundclick, it's good to check on what I'm expecting to hear.

yup thats what i did.. ill add a little bassline tonight and take another stab at the rythm guitar. i really like the way the original flows its an odd rythm. i figure i owe the song that since this is only 2 (long) nights worth of labor this stuff is murder.. i got the drums thinking: i just want to do good enough to provide some rythmic backing. the problem is good enough keeps stretching out in front of me.. just beyond reach.

Really good 60's cover. The drums didn't stand out as much, but in this particular song, they are probably about the correct level. Once I heard you were considering doing a cover after "My Dog" to release some of that studio tension, I figureed I'd get to hear something pretty soon. Stan

Hey Mattl!! Jeff Buckley did a version of this song!! You gotta hear it, it's so amazing, but very different compared to your version though. I think you did a good job too I really love this song!! You know the Van Morrison song "The way young lovers do" Jeff Buckley has covered did song as well, and that must be the best cover I have ever heard, it’s a 10-12min long improvising thing and it just blows me away every single time I hear it, he just got the most amazing voice. You got messenger ore something?? If you do I could send you the songs if you are interested??

Hey matt, where it's at? I'm really curious to hear your approach to that song, as I did it with a fantastic lady on vacals with a band way back then... But I can't find it on your soundclick page. C'mon, don't be shy, put it back up again
