a few days ago i passed a garden center and they had this nice big wagon or cart out front full of flowers and plants and it was real nice, but it was doing onea thoise drizzles all day and it struck a chord (get it?) so mental note to write about the flowers in the rain in summer thing recorded everything with acoustic but : ran the piezo pickup through my lectric guiitar effects and stopmped that a bit and panned it out on the side (thats what sounds like a pitch shifting kb.. its a touch too loud but ahh heck), still recorded with a mic too. recorded vocal and rythm live.. for the melodic bass thump i shutoff the mic, kept the acoustuic plugged into electric effects, picked some effect with some feedbacky sound (it was a wah with the pedal up i think) and was just tapping the guitar body.. i figured thats easier to record than drums heheheh) and put a little lead acoustic at the end. . i still hear some minor timing issues but i like it overall.. i wanted to keep it fresh sounding.. finished up w/in 24hrs of conceiving it.. which explains the monotonous progression called 3 days of rain 1.5 i think its a real good mix, curious if yall agree? however thats largely due to not having 4 mics in an open room recording a drumset

I hear that all you've got to do is click your heels 3 times, and yes....Toto too. let me clarify: i work, and live in very very very very seperate places. speaking of work: holyoke ,ma (see the song: driving home) was on npr (this time not on national news about being one of the top 10 poorest cities in the country) but as they were actually one of the first ever (in 1863 i think) to attampt making a waterway for migrating fish to counteract the effects of water dams, etc.. holyoke was the first planned industrial city in the US, ever (1800's i forget). theres a series of canals throughout the small city, its interestnig in a way, if viewed from behind bulletproof glass. its still lotsa paper /textile/etc mills .. like alot of old mill towns it thrived once

thanks gustavo!! its the seagul guitar, i suspect its more the eq than the guitar..im glad the tone came out good though.. i thought it was ok.. i cut quite a bit of 800hz as usual while recording (the guitar and vocal this time), and cut a smidge of 80hz. and it was recorded with a chorus/reverb combo effect pretty wet from the mixer. used a mic about 1.5-2' away . the distance away seems to help with the bass proximity effect and to my ears helps the guitar sound more balanced but it could be my imagination or just this weeks opinion the strings are a few months old elixers with the nanoweb coating stuff.. they really do sound newish longer but they never sound as good as some good strings new if you follow.. good enough for me.. thanks so much for feedback!

Not my day for music. "3 days o rain 1.5" will not stream.
USB card reader quit reading this morning so I tried it at work and the same thing. Guess I'll see if my other CF card still reads from it.
Trying to post something before going on vacation tomorrow.
