It started as a simle tapping exercise - and now it evolved to a real song... Hear the vocal version of "Though it's raining": www.soundclick.com/bands/7/efkaymusic.htmMeant to be the first installment of an upcoming series of songs for a future minimalistic live project.

Frank- always nice to listen to your lovely playing. The end of this tune seems to be cut off a bit abruptly; I'd like to hear a more gradual fade at the very end. Vocal is fine (like the effect), but it seems a bit buried under the bass. I don't know if it's just a matter of more volume, or if the EQ can be reworked to keep the voice and bass from fighting over frequencies. Still, it's only a minor detraction. Good work overall.

it is so good to hear you singing!!!! and not just the "guidance" tracks you've left me on collabs . . . . the production and mix are great, sodamn clear, by someone who doesn't hrry things . . . and of course, the playing is frank, my favorite bassist out there . . .

Thanks for your comments and thanks for the encouraging words regarding the vocals, y'all! Nice to hear that.
But anyway, in the end someone else will sing the final version, when my dream of live performance will come true...
Mike, I know what you mean by the abrupt end; it's one of the "action items" on the future to do list for this song - still it's a work in progress and I wanted to get a basic version off and running; fine tuning's to come ;D
Funny how you feel the voice is burried - I had the opposite feeling while listening on my different stereos. Ok, maybe I'm just a bit too shy and don't like to hear me singing, or maybe my ears were just a bit tired in the final phase of mixing. I'll have to check that with a few days distance and probably a few exercises in self-confidence. ;D

Sometimes the lo-fi plays funny tricks as well. But yeah, give it a few days then see what you think.
