I continued with the chords I came up with last week and wrote some lyrics to go along. I used a Native American's view about watching his ancestors' land taken & diminish throughout time without concern for future generations. Kind of a "Save The Whales" sort of song I know, but it seems to fit. Tried a different approach with the lyrics & vocals. Let me know what you think. dont kill the whale. love that song.. (yes)
WELL STAN.. the usual comments: good song idea , probably a good choice for the vocal effect for this one.. sounds rough around the edges but ive noted a few times how you come up with these arrangements where multiple guitars interact and i like it.. i guess i dopnt think that way and if it happens for me its chance. the bassy thing is a little too loud on my speakers but that may be me..

Bass may be a little strong on this. I usually do chord arrangement without vocals in mind. Later I find out that it is out of my range. My range is very limited so that means just about anything outside the key of A (lol).
I just posted a song a few minutes ago and I was getting really excited about it until recording the vocals. I got a vocal track down but it took about 5 tries. Raw throat man.
Anyway, thanks for listening and your comments. Sometimes my experiments don't go so good but I like trying different things rather than perfecting anything.

Yeah, the bass is kinda throbbing, but it might be possible to tame it slightly with EQ. Usually the effects you record the vocals with are so excessive they take away the quality of your singing, but this one does seem to be just the ticket, at least for this song. Don't use it all the time, tho. Neat.

Thanks Mike, I've been getting into bass tracks a little more, and not using the PS5 MIDI patterns as much. I guess I sub-conciously got a little carried away on this.... Let's get some new songs out there... Rob, tell your girlfriend to go out shopping (with her credit cards) so you can spend some writing time. Roger, get off the road, get home, and writing about those traveling experiences. HF, get off your permanent vacation and back to your studio.... please no more SF songs! but right now even Tip-Toe through the tulips is better than nothing Stan
