www.soundclick.com/bands/8/stangulleymusic.htmDid a minor-style blues on this with a 3 guitar part. I liked the sound better before the bounce because the lead mixed in too high. I did a lot of EQ lowering which subtract a little further but it has some pretty good energy to it. The vocals came out clear on 2 of my MP3 players, but SouncClick's player seemed to muddle them up a bit. I know 3 song posts in a week gets a little irritating, so I'm promising to slow down now. Not touching a guitar from the previous week got me a little obsessed this week (good excuse anyway). Stan

Hey Stan!
Another guitar extravaganza!
Sounds to me like a Bob Dylan tune rearranged for Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" album! Very cool!
Again, I am glad to see you mixing your vocals where I can hear them! I imagine that's a tough balance with all of the guitar parts that are going on. Works well for this song.

It does have a Dylanesque feel to it, with more of those Neil Young style guitar parts. Personally I'd always prefer hearing originals to covers. And alot of your originals can hold their own with any of the covers you knock out in a day. While Christian Rock isn't my cup of tea, I'm really pleased to know you wrote this. You post three of these a week, nobody will mind a bit.

Well I have to say Mike, you do listen to songs even if they are not what you would not normally consider, and give great input and advice. Maybe improvement rests more on knowing what "not" to do rather than what to do. I will probably never get comfortable with singing but unless you want to do nothing but instrumentals it is a neccessity with home recording; unless you have a wife, daughter, or son with a good voice Thanks Mike, Matt, and Charlie for the input & listening. Rob, from the lyrics/story section on Soundclick, it sure looks like a StanGulley (TM) original! ;D

Stan, I like it, real catchy. The only modification that I would make is change "from every girl and boy" to "from every boy and girl". It rhymes a little better with "world".
Otherwise, keep up the good work. You're knockin' 'em out at a frantic pace.

Good catch Collin! That was what it was suppose to be. I thought it was easier changing one word of the lyrics than redoing the track. Call me lazy. Actually very busy right now.
Thanks for listening! I didn't really know what the reaction would be but I am glad that people liked it. Stan
