Free, solid direction, is hard to find these days. Without it, and getting feedback from this group, I would always wonder if a song sounds right or not. In most phases of life, the more information you can get the better, and then you can weed through better choices to improve.
Love listening to originals, even though I don't always like writing them (still split between doing fun covers and sometimes fun originals) because I don't devote the time I need to really get it all-the-way done.
You've put out a lot of effort here so you might as well polish it before putting it on the self.

Great song Matt! I haven't heard any of the previous "beta" versions, but what you ended up with (is it done?) sounds great. Very sentimenal - in a good way (as Matt would say).
Nancy should be touched. I'd like to have seen the lyrics.
My only critique: the ending is a little abrupt and unexpected.
Nice job, Jim

yea i missed this until today Jim, thanks for your feedback too! yea this one i was so excited about i killed it, so to speak.. its on vers "2.Godknowswhat" and i sorta set it aside a week or 2 ago and started another song (as you can now see). upon listening after a break i am thinking a retake of the drums and all vocals will go a long way toward clearing it up.. so no its not done.. i like it too and dont want to give up on it. man this one was/is murder to work on.. then i realized talking w/roger.. its like home renovation.. sometimes its easier to tear it down and rebuild instead of fixing..
