Hey Rob. Glad to see you checked in! How's the road?
Here's what I did on Leroy Brown:
I entered in the PS5 Pattern Chords first and selected some suitable MIDI instruments. I wanted to try a dual acoustic part (no electric), which I very seldom do.
I was watching a Jim Croce story on TV the night before so I thought how simple. 2 guys playing acoustic guitars and harmonizing on stage. The early '70s looked so much different than the struts, bounces, and over-dramatizing stage performances of today. (no smoke, no wild lights...)
Anyway, after playing different chord structures with 2 different acoustic guitars, I EQ'ed them a little different on each L/R track.
Then I laid the first vocal in 3 tries, and did backup on first try.... I'm not much for sitting around trying to sing for more than about 30 minutes max. I know the vocals kinda stunk, but I like the way the guitars played out.
Just something to bring back some good memories, and to do something a little different.
Stan
