Did 3 acoustic tracks and a vocal (but al least no bounce)
On my Christian page if you want to listen. Could have definitely devoted more time on the vocals but the tracks are all there so no problem.
Links are at the bottom. Stan

I had to check this one again to make sure it was an original. Stan, this is probably the best thing you've written so far. Fantastic chord progression & melody. Vocals are fine, with the exception of a few lumpy cadences, and some of the guitar licks could have more form to them, but it doesn't hide the fact that this is a great song. If there was one tune of yours to pick for a serious re-do with time and attention, this would be the one. I'd really urge you to consider it. You're either wasting your time doing covers, or you're taking careful notes on how songs are constructed.

Wow thanks, I didn't realize that it would get this kind of response. Maybe I will consider redoing some of the tracks again and finish it out.
Thanks again for listening. Your guys comments are always very much appreciated.

Congrats Stan ;D
Very nice melody. I specially liked the guitar work. Nicely done!
I would also like to point out that the message of the song is worth listening.

sTnakskey ' gullius, I am glad I heard your song, AND, I want to sent your soundclick link, of all places,,, to Derbyshire, where my loving girl is, for her to give her a listen to it. I like this one. And I still think of your red Fender picture at the festival! (modified) Ya, ahh, I would like to say, that in your song,,,, you are in this world and this is where you are supposed to be "right here, right now", (Van Halen), any where else would be, where...... somewhere else! doesn't matter! We have to deal with it as the world turns! the question that comes to mind is: "What kind of world are we living in where Ugliness is the Norm and Beauty, the deviation from that Norm". Rod Serling episode: the eye of the beholder. I like the last chord. jamisius

The song lyrics: just want to be where I belong, refers to being in God's will, whether in prison or winning the Texas lottery. I want to be where God has put me this day. As for tomorrow, we aren't guaranteed anything.
Well I did a remix which I hope turns out better. Hard to do a song without drums or a metredome so I tried to keep the timing of each instrument close but might have strayed a little here and there.
Anyway hope you get time to re-listen. [glow=red,4,600]Where I Belong[/glow]

Nice going Stan Vocal and the 2 background guitars sound really good to me. Congrats! About the solo guitar, it has highlights at spots along the song, but I would bring down rev on that one and do a little rework on the overall part. Its comming good buddy

Yea Gamma, Tons of tremelo and reverb on the solo... had trouble mixing in with the acoustic parts because it kept cutting in and interferring so I may have dialed too much outside.
Well Matt, I was experimenting with the EURORACK that I just got for my birthday and laid down the acoustic tracks before thinking that it would amount to anything. I decided to keep the tracks and figured out some lyrics. Maybe a total rework but wouldn't feel like continuing with it right now.

Matt,
It's the 5 input mixer ($49) one. I've just started miking my acoustic through it, and in my opinion was well worth the money, even though I got it as gift.

Hey Stan! Love the acoustic guitar work on this song! Very nice, and the two background parts fit together well. Along the lines of Gammas' comment, to me the solo part sounds a tad overpowering in some places. Your lyrics come across as very personal and sincere. Charlie
