www.soundclick.com/dannystevenI threw this one together rather quickly just getting use to the PS5 and seeing what it does. Also my first experience with putting a song on the internet.

Hey Danny! Welcome, neighbor! Especially liked "On TV"! Cool beat and instrumentation. Clever lyrics. Spoken parts could be a bit louder to make the lyrics easier to understand, but an excellent first effort! Which instruments are you playing? Looking forward to hearing more! Charlie

I agree with Charlie; great debuts. You've got the Knofler vocal style down pat. And both originals? I know we're all going to be wanting more ASAP.
I'm adding your SC link to the list as well.

Thanks alot guys. Yea both are originals. I play the guitar parts only. The Knopfler vocals is something I tryed for years to get away from but it just kept coming out. So I finally decided to heck with it and just go with it. To me it's just my natural way of singing. I agree that the vocals need to be out front more. During mixdown it sounded like I had them up plenty. It may take me awhile to get that right.

how do you go about putting in the drums. i thought the ps5 doesnt do that. Huh? The PS5 has a pretty nice built-in drum machine. While it's not as flexable as a separate unit, it's the only drum machine I use anymore. The drums on danny's songs don't sound like PS5 drums, tho.

what i meant was, i knew you could do drums cause i use them on "ashes", but i didnt kkow you could have pauses the way he has them. maybe thats why.....maybe they arent ps5 drums

Yea Scott, the drums are in deed the PS5. It's all in how you do the arranging. If you here a good Intro or fill throw it in there a few times. You can actually build a whole song on a drum intro if you want. just go into copy and do like an intro you like, a few verses throw the intro in several times, verse. So on and so on. A good example of this is the new song I just added on Soundclick, "Armor Clad Warrior Wise". Give it a listen and you'll see what I'm talking about. Danny

are we talking about the pauses? danny are they really pauses that abe is talking about or just light tapping of the intros....or have you worked out how to put pauses in?
very clever tunes though...really good...im going to use that idea of yours putting the intros in for pauses...and the keys...is that from the tone generator?

rob, Well it's amixture of intro's and the fills. You end up with pauses. If that makes any sense. And yea the keys are that of the PS5.
