In my never ending quest to explore new genres... Came up with this smooth jazz instrumental while playing with my new toy: Garden SeductionSax and two strings parts (rhythm and high pitched lead) are the GR-20, drums and warm pad are programmed in Anvil, and the bass is real. Charlie

Wow, Charlie, that's really nice! Your new toy gives the sax parts a real growl. Maybe a real sax player could tell the difference, but I couldn't. Very polished recording - I'd like a little more life in the conga parts as overall it's almost too laid back, but it's a minor point.

Hey Neighbor, Great sound, great mix. One of those tunes you can listen to over and over again.

Thanks for listening and for the comments, guys! Hawaii 5-O, huh? All I remember is the theme by the Ventures. Just playing around a bit tonight, I learned that I can plug in my old Miracle midi keyboard into the GR-20 and play that way also. Not that I'm any good on keyboard! It'll be fun to experiment though. Charlie

its the mood it sets or, use your guitar to play the kb or another midi sound module.. but the tracking goes out the window when you switch to triggering midi devices (but kb->gr should be ok as kb midi always seems to work ok). out of curiosity how many bass sounds does the gr20 have? im getting sick of mine (bass sounds) but then ive had it for about 8 years

Matt, looks like around 25 or so bass sounds. Some of them are pretty good, but some I can't see much use for. Jim, how'd you guess! ;D Charlie

Smooth Chuck!
Classy and sensual.
That new toy of yours really brings the sax sound up to life. I'm specially impressed about the lows, you can hear some one breathing through the sax!
I was away for a while, but I'll try to catch up with ya fellas!
Congrats again
