Anybody got any festive songs for the season? I've got the one from two years ago on my Soundclick page, Hallelujah Christmastime. Just scroll down the list until you find it; it's in there somewhere. If there are any others out there, let's hear 'em.

Nice tune, Matt. While not particularly festive, it's certainly a good encapsulation of a mood, frozen in time.

Enjoyed the holiday songs guys.!
Mike, I really like your lyrics & vocals, along with the instruments behind a nice acoustic track; mixed nicely.
Matt, your lyrics are so good, and so out there. (Their stringin' up lights 2 yrs. in advance) Love that line.

I just posted one called, "New Toys Are Comin'" which may or may not sound like a Christmas song. My imagination tends to be out there sometimes. It is a progress rock instrumental using band in a box as its chord structure that I thought up this morning. TG == BIAB 1st guitar: PS5 Speedking 2nd guitar: PS5 Little Wing The song picks up as it goes... Hope you like it... Stan

Stan, it's easy to see that BIAB is going to be a major part of your songwriting from this point on. Good tune. I can't really think of it as a Christmas tune until you toss in some sleigh bells.

lets see.. how much is the biab, and how much was the drumkit, cymbal and head upgrades, associated mic purchases.. hmmm.. yea stan some samples is a great idea, however with an instrumental like this, its whatever you say it is !! it really helps ones playing to play against a perfect beat i think, overall great production. good tones... im working o a space jam one now: 2 electric gtrs, 3 synths, and a drumbeat.. thinking of tossing one or both electric gtrs and adding some acoustic rythm.. keep ya posted. its like part two of last years come to the dark side my son (anthony (my son hahahahah) came in and started talking through the vcoder so im gonna leave it in the song, its just for fun anyhow

I appreciate the kinds words from both of you. This is just experimenting with my new toys. Huge learning curve but I think I'll be able to settle down when I get some time and actually write something, & be more serious on my projects, rather than killing an afternoon tweaking around with software menu choices. Ready to hear some of your new tunes Matt, and hopefully we can all do some collabs starting into next year. Frankly I like the cover collabs because there is an original track to compare the final results with. And, frankly in some cases, I've liked the PS5UG songs better than the original. Stan

Noticed that Tony C has a couple of traditional Christmas Carols on his music page. Charlie

I don't know why we didn't make a cd ourselves...? I have one of my own... ah,er, maybe it's not cool enuf? I know most Christians that have more Spine and Backbone/guts than the balance of the Metal "boys" that are instilling hate into this society thru their music (noise). the mouth is back!!!! It's not X mas, it's CHRIST MASS, by the way. Just like happy "holidays" is taken from Holy Days. end of sermon yaya ya yaaaaaaaaaaaaa raa!!! (james hetfield)!!!!!!!!!

I totally agree that the true meaning of the word Chrismas is that "Christ has come." Easter on the other hand; I don't know what that term means. I do know that many of our parents introduced us to Santa and the Easter bunny at a very young age.
Maybe that was to shield us from the true meaning that a perfect man (God incarnated) had to be beaten raw and nailed to a cross so that we could be forgiven of our sins. A great amount of adults will never grasp or accept this, and a few don't think it ever really happened, so I doubt if any 4 yr. old would understand.
So, the fact that some think of the fun we had as children waiting for Santa to come with the toys, I don't think it can possibly mask the true meaning of what Christmas really is. A perception of this holiday will totally depend on either what someone knows in their heart, or else what one thinks it really means to them.
In either case, I just hope everyone has a great holiday.
