This is my son's first completed song on the PS5. After working for several months with a drummer, another guitar player, and a bass player, and accomplishing nothing but "jams", I bought our own set of drums, and finally a song was completed.
This song has my son on vocals, both guitars, and drums. He also wrote the music and the admittedly "lame" lyrics. He would like to redo the guitar solo, and add a bass line, but he is working on other projects with a new band. He has another song ready to go, but needs the drums track yet.
Did I mention he was 12 when he recorded this on his PS5?

Admittedly 'rough' both in terms of writing and recording, what's really of interest is that your son is able to do as well as he does here. I've certainly heard worse debut recordings from people much older. He obviously shows a lot of promise, and I'm sure if he keeps at it, the PS5 will document his growth as a musician. The song sounds sort of Areosmith-like to me.
I'm sure lots of other people are going to hear this, and like me, think "I wish I could have played like that when I was twelve!".

Thanks for the words of encouragement.
When Matt first came up with the main riff, he thought it was "Guns and Roses meets Aerosmith-ish".
I have just uploaded a second song to Soundclick called "Lonely". This is a much more complex song, which was recorded with a member of his new band "Angels of Evermore". Matt wrote the music and lyrics, plays guitar and does the 2nd vocal track. The first vocal track is his keyboard player/mascot.
He wants to add a bass track, and also a drum track, but when the band can find time to get together, they tend to work on cover songs for the upcoming talent show and battle of the bands.
