Did an instrumental piece that used all 4 tracks:
T1 & T2: with same heavy distoration track with .01 delay panned left and right. T3: WAH with strange setting T4: Bass with heavy FX effects. Basically 2 guitar parts and bass.
If you like strange music, then you may like this.

Trying your hand at shredding, Stan? Sonically, there's a lot to admire in this piece - at times it's quite impressive with the fullness of the instruments and the lines being played. Some of it was really exciting. Here and there were spots that didn't grab me as much; I think it's more to do with the melodic lines seeming to run out of steam than with any real flaws in the playing or layering of sounds. One example is the first thirty seconds, which seemed to be just too bizarre to enjoy, but then it got into its stride and took off.
Production-wise, everything seemed pretty balanced. I didn't hear anything really out of place in the mix. Overall there are many goods points in this as just a sound experiment, and only a few not so good points. If you can export some of this controlled power into your 'regular' songs, you'll be the man to beat.

Now that's a wild experiment Stan! Kinda makes me think of what would have happened if Nissan had ever contracted Frank Zappa to score a new car commercial!

The focus was for sound and sound alone. It is not something that I would care to listen to more than a few times. I have to agree Mike, that there were places that seemed to just drop off or get lost somewhere. In the duration of 4 minutes I repeated the following:
This sequence of chords (listed under Prog Rock, whatever that means) was in this month's issue of Guitar Player I glanced through in the library (which I scribbled down):
I changed the AbMaj7 to an Abm7 for simplisity, and then brought the sequence up a step in the middle of the song and then right back to the orginal pattern. This was to break the repeativeness of the flow. The lead was just some random notes that I tried to keep away from obstructing with the first guitar track.
Thanks for the feedback. Was just curious as to how people would respond to some this bizarre. Definitely not a keeper but experimental.

Stan,
Strange collection of sounds. Like Mike said, some of it's pretty interesting - like around 1:00 to 1:15.
The drums are echoed in the right channel with a delay. Was that intentional?

Hey stan, This is a very busy song, with lots going on throughout the entire song. I like how it starts out busy like that and then sorta settles into a groove. Experimental is something I like you know. So I tend to like this. Sahib www.funender.com/music/bands/4079/

Stan, lets do something with this. This is just what I listen too. Muse, Vines. This is no experiment. This is INDIE! I love it.

Thanks for all of the comments. More than I expected for sure. Rob: If you want to do something with this sure. You will need to filter out the lead to even know where you are at in the song... Jim: You must have a keen ear, there is an actualy replication of the mix to the right side. Don't remember if it was a delay or reverb effect... Scary how you picked up on that. Stan

Hey Stan,
This is pretty neat, sometimes just as Mike said there is some really sweet moments where every sounds super cool sonically.
Interesting instrumental, one of the best I've heard done in this style. I could swear you were using a talk box sometimes, it almost whines at you like a voice EEEIII
And it actually get better as it goes along so thats great!
Good Job, Cameron
