I was playing around with my Fender Super Concert tube amp today and mic'ed Fortunate Son by CCR. I went ahead and decided to do the cover for fun. T1 - mic'ed (not cranked so a little too weak) T2 - Same as T1 but using POD2 with PS5 country effect T3 - Bass using (one of the PS5 bass effects already forgot) T4 - Vocals In Stan's Band "FS-1" Stan

Way cool Stan! A great wake up call for this rainy Saturday morning. Nice guitar sound too. Reminded me of when we'd play block parties in the summers of the early 70's, and I'd plug my P-Bass into my upended couch (Kustom 200), and Fortunate Son was always on the set list! ;D

Thanks Bob,
Man I should have had you collab. on this with me. Sounds like you had some real fun back then.
PS, I talked my wife in the 2488 today, but it will still be mid-summer when/if I get one. She has been really great abut my selfish gear purchases over the past couple of years (last summer, new Strat & alll)
I'll be recording a couple of Christian/Chirstmas CDs this year for one of my buddies. He is going to use any profits received to donate to his missions group located in Mexico.

Oh yeah, those days were a blast - we were kids playing the stuff we loved to listen to (CCR, Beatles, and of course, Johnny B. Goode)...great stuff! Your CD idea sounds terrific...you should have your friend take a look at the CafePress site that Mike uses. He could use that as a means to produce, distribute, and handle payments, and simplify the process. My wife is thinking about opening a site with them for our photography (if we do, I'm going to have to slip in some music when she's not looking!). As to when you get your 2488 - I think I mentioned before, I got a great deal from a very well respected dealer on Ebay (perfect feedback over some 5 years), authorized reseller, so warranty is valid and in place. And best of all....his price has gone down since I got mine - I believe I've seen it from him for $918 in the last week or so. Best deal out there, as far as I can see. Here's a link to their feedback page : feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=audiomidigear&item=-1&frompage=222From there, you can go to their online store, as well as their current items for auction. Their auction price is a lot better than their store price. I did spring the extra $40 and got the tutorial DVD direct from Tascam as well. Good info, very well presented, and a good reference. Helps to clarify a lot of material in the manual, as the manual isn't overly clear on many operations.
