Hey everybody! I've been posting our music on another website for a while, but have yet to post any here, until now. Up until a few months ago, I'd used the Pocketstudio to record tracks, then mixing them in either Cakewalk or Cubase. I've since begun using the PS5 primarily as a sketchpad, then refining ideas by re-recording into the computer. I still find the Pocketstudio invaluable as a creative tool, capturing ideas that otherwise would've drifted off into the ether, never to be heard. I just set up an account on soundclick, and will be adding a bunch more tunes in upcoming days. Most of the songs on this particular page (I have another band page known as Horrible Hat), were recorded on the PS5, then mixed on the computer. Such is the case with Thirty. I wrote and recorded the music, and play guitars, bass, and banjo. My wife wrote the lyrics and sings. Tjarko Busink, from Amsterdam, contributed the bridge instrumentation, via internet upload. I'd love to hear your opinions regarding Thirty, as well as the others. More to follow! www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=388039Ken

I never would have thought of banjo as a World Music instrument, but it really blends in well. Nice changes, good overall sound. Like the vocals as well - sounds sort of like a slowed-down Anne Lennox. PS5 drums? Thanks for sharing this with us Ken.

Mattl -- Thanks for listening. Yeah, making music with my wife is a real treat. Keeps us both sane. Our son's four, I'm already trying to convince him to take up and instrument -- we really need a drummer, lol. BTW, I love your sig -- BOC was my favorite band for many, many years. Long live Buck Dharma!
Mike -- I've just recently picked the banjo back up, after many, many years. I've used it in a couple other songs, and I find it adds a nice layer to the sound as long as I keep pretty low in the mix. I forgot to mention that the ps5 drums I initially used as a placeholder were replaced with a Groove Agent midi track. Sometimes I program them manually, but on this song I just used a preset beat, and "played" it on the fly, adding fills here and there. It usually doesn't work out so neatly, but I got lucky. Thanks for listening.
