Roger & Rob, Its been pretty close to a month since some new music posts! Now two in one day?, and I am firewalled off here at work on a boring Monday. One great advantage to music is that you can "almost" erase football playoff woes by cranking up an amp or just banging on the six-string for awhile. Can wait to get home and listen.

Roger, REally clean hi-fidelity acoustic sound. Some nice sustain echo effect too.
Just curious as to what steps you take when getting your 2488 mixes down into MP3 format. I downloaded the MP3 locally before listening to it, and it preserved its quality very well.

Never mind, this was on the PS5. Let me rephrase, what type of effects did you use?
Thanks, Stan

thanks stan . . . . yeah, ps5 . . . . quicker for sketches . . . . plugged directly into the ps5,no micing . . . . effect was acoustic 12 string, pushed the reverb a little, recordered to tracks 1 and 2 only, panned 45 both left and right . . . . . this was very impromptu, playing alone, liked the riff, plugged in and that was it. thanks for listening . . . .

I don't remember the PS5 12-string effect sounding that good, and it did work very well with your amount of reverb. It must of also had something to do with the Taylor.
Very nice. Stan

Roger - nice sounding tune. What kind of guitar did you use? Is it standard tuned or something else.
I love the 12 string effect -- its my favorite ps 5 effect for the fullness and sustain it provides, especially with reverb added, although it sounds quite different with my squire strat than it does on Roger's tune. Just yesterday a guy asked me what kind of external effects box I used to get the sound and I told him the PS5. But I wonder -- is this kind of sound available in a pedal or as a preset on a multi-purpose effects processor. I confess I don't know much about these devices, coming as I do from the age of simple fuzztones and wahwahs.

We see here an example of style. Any regular around here would recognize this instantly as a holtz tune. Evokes the sound of the wind whipping along the shore at night. If this ends up as a 2488 recording, it would be interesting to compare the finished version with this one.
