Check on these original tunes recorded on the PS5. I used SM58/Wahsburn SJ45, into a KUSTOM guitar amp. I then used line out into the PS5. www.myspace.com/jesserichter

Jessie - Good vocals! Obvious strong Neil Young influence in the writing & playing. I think when you delve deeper into what the PS5 is capable of, it will make a big difference in your recordings. Looking forward to hearing what happens.

Nice compliments! Anything u suggest on the procedure, I use a guitar amp with vocal input, that has minimal effects. I only usually reverb and a little tweaking on the equalizer. Anything would be greatly appreciated. I can definetely feel theres something missing with the recording process I use. Thanks again.

Well, how much time & money do you want to throw into it? As I recall from your previous posts, you're doing this live? That will work, but the whole point of a multitrack recorder is... multitracking! If you can knock out a decent pattern to one of your songs, then play two guitar tracks along with that, then add a lead and a harmony vocal, mix it all down with the onboard EQ and reverb, you'll have a completely different beast. And that's just with the equipment on hand, never mind using a different mic, mixer, effects, etc etc etc. As an example of what can be done, listen to my buddy Holz on "Searching for the Ghost of Kerouac"; PS5 pattern, a few tracks of guitar and keyboard horns, two vocals: www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=43957

Hi Jesse, Just got a chance to listen here at home as the company I work for blocks myspace. Definitely nice work considering that it is an all in one take effort. I agree with Mike about the vocals - they're darn good. Please do take the time to experiment with multitracking on the PS5. I have no experience recording acoustic stuff on mine, but I am sure that being able to control vocal and instument levels and equalization individually would let you put out a more polished song. I personally think that a couple of the PS5 vocal effects are pretty darn good for an all in one box, not that you really need them. (I on the other hand wouldn't DARE not use them .) Regards, Tom
