i wrote another song last weekend, lyrically i think it fizzled out quite a bit but i think it will still fit someowhere on the hopefully soon cd somewtime this yr. , like roger told me, the drums dont suck that bad then last month i did a very spare one that i like alot called powerpack. on MY site is a song called ocean blue that my 7 year old ad libbed which i am pretty proud of. unfortunately hes incapable of sustained focus to actualluy work out some real lyrics but i think hes definitely singing well, i dint even know it!! i vlet him sing and make it uyp as he went, first take is what you hear. ive been using a freeware package on the pc called kristal, a hardware compressor for everything going in, and software effects/compressors as well. kristal has its quirks, but im used to it now.

Hey Matt, Finally got around to noticing this post. I got disconnected going on vacaction and still trying to catch up. PowerPak27 -- yeah great drum tracks, (pencil on the table?) I really like this song and thought I heard the thumping bass come in at the end with the thumping acoustic. Nice ballads. Ourday11 -- really great blues ballad with an excellent array of backing sounds. Glow1 -- beautiful acoustic guitar track, nice delay, and some cool harmonics. Covered17 -- nice vocal reverb with a tuba backing sound. I would probably have to buy your CD and play it 20-30 times to pick up on your lyrics, similar to a Dylan CD which usually took 50-60 times. I don't think a really criticed anything did I. Your recording techniques keep getting better. I like the way your vocals came out on all of this mixes. Stan

I was either think vac-action or my fingers were typing so fast an extra something got in there, similar to the way I approach lead guitar. Sometimes you miss, sometimes you hit.

Hey Matt --
I really enjoyed Our Day -- it' got that slightly ungraspable melancholy that really moves me. Love the lead guitar work -- fits the mood of the song nicely. Are those real drums? Keeps the beat, though the jury's still out on the open hihat. It works, buy gets to be a little much after a while. Nice work!
