Hi friends, long time no see - now back, but in the "alumni section", as I upgraded to a Yamaha AW16G. (Popping in here a few times, I noticed, that lots of you jumped to the 2488 - well, not the machine for me. I can't really tell you why, but trying both in a shop, I felt more comfartable with the 'G'...) Don't ask me what I've been busy with the last few months - something good, something bad, something jolly, something sad... Finally found time to record two new songs, both currently in a state of work in progress, targeted to live performance as duets with the singer of the band I'm currently working with - I just still have to convince her to do it "Forbidden Wine" is a song by the jazz duo "Friend'n'Fellow", a fine lady on vocals accompanied by a great guitar-player. "Fly Like An Eagle" is also strongly influenced by "Friend'n'Fellow" as I adopted their arrangement for bass. Warning! On both songs only ONE instrument: ONE track of bass (well, ok, and a bit of percussion loop on "Forbidden Wine") - Don't try this at home ;D Enjoy on my soundclick page... Frank

Frank-
Listened to "Forbidden Wine" - I could listen to your riffing all day! Nice & mellow. Oddly enough, the vocal sounds just a little bit like Matt!
Hope you've still got your PS5!

Thanks, guys - I'm hoping to get more time for music again now (well, after my oncoming holidays in september ;D) Yes, Mike, but I'm afraid, it'll find its way to ebay quite soon... Naaaw, much too complicated for me I'm always on the simple side. Just plugged my bass direct into a Behringer V-Amp Pro, browsed thru the presets and chose one (too lazy to fiddle with all the buttons and knobs) and hit record... Well, and Cornelia, singer of our band, has committed to do "Forbidden Wine" live; so I'm hoping to get her to do a decent vocal recording soon

wow what a great sound go figure. some of the behringer stuff is really nice but it makes me nervous they are coming out with everything, my mixer is thier 16 input. considering their powered monitors for jamming with, maybe go w/peavey or yamaha though. i want to test a few for volume and sound quality, any recommendations? (you, anyone?) looking for small but loud enough if to cut over a full band if necessary

Love these two tracks Frank. Thanks for posting them.
FLAE always reminds me of college summers when I use to listen to Steve Miller Band's Dreams & FLAE albums.
Glad to see you posting again.
