Hey guys, Got a new track recorded... Ever feel like you can't quite give a song justice when recording, but I think it's pretty decent, as good as I can get it, besides possibly the mix, I may look at the backing vocals... Ironically its about not feeling like you good enough... The song is called "more than that" Link is in my signature... or Cameron PierceI look forward to all your guys's input on this one, It was a hard song to put together, I've been working on this one for over a week and a half now! Anyway, Hope you all dig, and I'll be sure to do some more listening here tomorrow and when I ever I get a chance... Time is short eh! B) Cameron P.S. Sorry for the gereric post for those who, travel to other forums but I mean every word ;D

Ctrl-C it, Ctrl-V it! That's what I always do , and I've done this serveral time myself. Am not much for typing/re-typing posts as you'all I'm sure have noticed poor spelling, poor grammer, many typos.... Guess I type like playing guitar sometimes; really sloppy.
Anyway, I respect your hard work and patience to get quality songs out. Spending over a week on a song tells me how much quality is important to you. I am trying to learn to be more patient because I still feel like I need to finish everything up in a day: writing, recording, and mixing (probably because of the ease of doing it on the PS5). However, sometimes extending into a 2-day process has given some better results.
Looking forward to listening when I get home tonight.

Nice work Cameron. I couldn't make out the lyrics very well when first listening, so maybe the lead vocal could come up a bit, although my high frequency hearing is not good, so it might be that. When I displayed the lyrics and read along, the song sounded nicer to me. I myself think the backup vocals sound good. I like hearing guitar solos near the end of songs -- kind of puts an explanation point on things. Your well-played solo is a nice fit, as is the guitar sound Might bring up the level on it a touch.
But really good work for just a week and a half.
Regards, Tom

I also liked the backing-vocals a lot, and maybe they could be slightly brought up in some parts (hard decision though, since I couldn't even tell you what parts).
I enjoy your vocal emotion, as being transparent throughout the song, and the guitar solo at the end was nice. I would have liked to hear, in another spot or two, some short guitar-lead-phrases sprinkled around, to accent on certain vocal phrases.
Nice work Cameron!

This is an interesting song, mainly due to it sounding almost like two different songs. The verse is very rhythm-guitar driven and almost laid back. I'd like to hear a wall of jangly acoustics all strumming away. But then it changes very quickly (VERY quickly) into a full-tilt balls to the wall (sorry Bob) number. Both pieces are good, the backing vocals work well, plenty of emotion, etc. But I can't help wondering if the transistion could have been more developed. It makes the chorus seem rushed. To be sure, maybe I'm quibbling at minor points, but... The stripped-down middle going into the solo then the last chorus is an excellent example of how the rest of the song should develop. Not that every verse needs a solo, but it makes the end more of a coherent whole than the first part of the song. As usual, I'm picky with Cam's material because it's so darn good. The better he gets, the pickier I become. So don't send me nasty private messages.

This is an excellent tune all around - no need to be sorry Mike - the very emotion you're describing in this track is what led Al, Steve and Ed to coin the name when they did. They'd enjoy this track as much as you and I did
