I recorded this burning the mid-night candle to a stub last night. I heard a version of this song from Third Day, a couple of years ago, that did some power chord slides I like: D,E,D,E,Db...inbetween the verses; or inside the verses (can't say I remember now). www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=35588&songID=4782360Merry Christmas for the 2nd time. I can't say I'm familiar with this particular song, or perhaps I don't recognize it? Still, it's a good solid recording. Balance, mix, dynamics are all fine. The vocal effect sounds a little "boxy", but it doesn't detract from the overall sound. Are you processing the vocal through an autotuner these days, Stan? I hear a lot fewer "clunkers" from you than I used to.

Thanks Mike for listening & commenting.
Yes, I did correct a couple of sour notes on this particular song using Melodyne Uno, but it is around 50/50 on whether I use it on any particular song. The words sound sort of gargley or unnatural whenever they get corrected.
I'm suprised that you haven't heard this carol before but since it was written in 12th century the words are in Ole' English and a little distracting.
Merry Christmas Mike (from Rockwall TX halfway around the globe)! Hope your family has a great holiday coming up. Stan

Stan:
I liked the guitars very much they sound solid, what effects are you using?.
As far as the vocals I have to agree with Mike they sound too boxy. But overall the song sound very solid. Good work in the producing part.

Mr. Meillon, I very much appreciate your comments. I basically can't remember which 2 distorted guitar effects that I dialed in to my POD XT. Stan
