As I have been corresponding with Mike wanted to let you know I have been spending a lot of time in a great studio here in Denver. Starting back in November I did a number of "lockouts", ten to twelve hours at a time for two days in a row. Guitar tracks down. Biggest problem was choosing the guitar to use, ended with the new Guild D-55 I bought last year. What a recording instrument, so much better than the Taylor I had bought earlier (although I DO love the Taylor). Then into vocal booth, and then more and more sessions of re-recording this 57 year old voice. Ended cutting 24 tracks. The past work has been adding strings, using a great studio drummer and keyboard player. Bass next, then some more vocal work, some guitar overlays, then mix and master. My engineer has been wanting to do a 5.1 surround sound for a long time so at his cost we are going to do that. Hopefully by mid-April or may there will be a finished project. Will keep you posted. The main thing though, is thank you all for the encouragement that actually made me believe I might actually be able to do this. Thank you all for the kind words, the great advice, and putting up with listening to my paltry offerings. You're the best . . . . Roger

Hi Roger, You are a great example of continuing to improve with age, & not making excuses for it by continuing forward. Since I'm only trailing you by a couple of years, it really motivates me to keep going with this songwriting stuff; mainly because I love doing it, not because there is that much benefit. I've been slacking off here lately but do hope to come back and try again; more refreshed.
It is alway great to hear about what you are doing, epsecially with your music. Stayed tuned in and I'll do the same.

Nice, Rob. Drums are clear, good backing vocals. Atmospheric. Glad to see you're still pumping out the hits.

Hey Rob, Checked out your song and really liked it. Your artistic changes throughout made it very interesting. Your vocals seem to have a different mood as well. Sorrry to hear about your new recorder... The 2488 has now dipped under $800 if interested. It was really great hearing from you again! Stan

Yea my oldest is in college anyway at 21 yrs. The young one is now 18.5 years and taking college courses his senior year in high school.
It's cool that you are still progressing as a musician. Hope you release a CD one of these days with some of your old and new stuff in it.
Stay in touch. It's always great to hear from you guys! Stan
