haven't had time to get back in to the studio but i have posted three very raw songs (i saw you, right woma wrong time, and 57 chevy. 1st 3 songs on the menu) on my funender site: www.funender.com/music/holzthey are rough taken directly from the board with some of the instrumentation, some strings, piano, keyboards, drums, what have you, but no bass yet. no eq (as i said quickly taken off the board after a session), no mixing, etc. etc. etc. this is kind of like my studio pics when it was in progress. believe me, with the pro tools set up we are using it will be much better, so don't hurt your ears.

Superb. The finished product is going to be awesome. Track by track:
'57 Chevy - Kind of a early Stones/Procul Harum sound, prob. because of the organ.
Right Woman, Wrong Time - This reminds me of someone (Nilsson?). The only thing I'm not keen on is the abrupt ending. Good place for a fadeout solo? This can be fixed easily enough in post-production.
I Saw You - Strings are good, looking forward to hearing what else will be added over them. Watch the guitar playing, as I know sometimes your chord structures can be a little unorthodox.
Really clear & full, Rog. I know the songs will change a lot as more is added, then production takes over. But they sound off to a solid start.

holzra, Sounds very good. You have an amazing amount of material there. I'm well aware of how much time and effort it takes to put this stuff together, so you must be commended on your work. Get it the way you like it and it'll be right. Cheers, Buck ps Still looking for a replacement ps5

Hi Rog, 57 Chevy is a great song and is probably my favorite of yours. Great remixes on your previous stuff. I know the CD release is still a ways off but I'll be waiting in line to get one.
I'm thinking about releasing a Cd sometime this year as well which will be a secular/Christian mix so it will be hard to catagorize. It seems my grunge style music gets more listens and a better response; maybe just because it is instrumental stuff.
Stay in that Studio where you belong!, and don't do like me last year & stop in the middle.
Thanks for the new posts, Stan

thanks guys for listening. appreciate it. mike, yeah i saw you i plan on probably putting cello on, putting a break between 2 and 3 verse (notice i added a 3rd verse?) which would be mainly strings. right woman putting on some tom petty guitar on it throughout which would solo out at the end. '57 chevy, bass to come and some pringsteen style tele. and stan, '57 chevy is still one of my favs. so there are still six out there which have instrumentation on but need more. five will probably remain just vocals and my guitar. it has been fun, waiting to do it for 49 years. stan, get back in there and do it. can't wait to hear yours. i have been remiss in my listening to others you and mike have done, still on the road most weeks and my laptop doesn't have the best sound. bux, good luck, there has to be a few ps5's out there on ebay. one more night in nyc and i get to go back to denver tomorrow afternoon . . . .seriously, i think back to posting "strum", the first thing i did on the ps5 a few years ago and still can't believe that, whether good, bad, or indifferent, i have written enough songs the past few years to decide what to put on a cd. and i wouldn't have continued if it hadn't have been for all the support and kind words on this site.
