Stan,
Like a sponge, you've been absorbing everything about production, writing, etc. And now we're starting to hear what I think is an emerging mature style. The pictures you're painting in sound with this song are pretty amazing. While it's not without faults, it's a big step towards breaking the usual ho-hum approach I hear from so many people.
I really like the long delay on the vocal, and the way the snare brings in the drums on the chorus. The melody in the chorus is also very good. Throughout the song is an effective use of dissonance which makes it sharp and crisp.
What I think needs more thought is the timing between the drums and the other instruments in the chorus. It's not syncing up somehow, and makes it all sound a bit unsure. Otherwise, it's fine. Good intro, snazzy half-ending, etc. Don't take this the wrong way, but this is a song I would expect to hear from someone half your age. Kudos to you.

Hey Mike. Thanks for your encouragement, remarks, and suggestions throughout these developmental years. You have, by far more than anyone else, put time in to listen to my songs. This has gradually impacted the way I mix, EQ, and construct my music. Yeah, I'm still lazy, short on time when it comes to quaility, and many times sloppy with my recorded tracks but if there is a gradual improvement to establish a better consistency then I'm happy. I have to agree that something is out of sync as the song goes on, and I'm thinking part of the problem is the main vocal track. The vocal phrases are not quite matching with the music. I think I will continue on with this later and get it in better shape. Thanks again Mike. Stan

Hey Stan,
These are some seriously thoughtful lyrics, I'm very taken back by them, these are words that can ring in almost anyone I think... Lots of nice symbolisms in this, this is a real serious lyric.
Awesome melody, I like the dirty groove. It fits some how. You know Stan you remind me of Neil Young, Its pretty loose but the song is great. SO it is great.
Great mood, I love how the lyric flows it has this great flowing melody in the chorus, so good, nice contrast between verse and chorus, nicely crafted!

Thanks Cam, Your comments mean a lot to me. Good luck with your next semester at school. Keep on making your music, and get a CD out there whenever you get a chance. I think of it as kind of a landmark in the history of someone's life.
