Like the last song, I like the fact this has definite parts (as opposed to jamming through the arrangement). The drums have their odd little quirks, but they don't detract too much overall. The production seems sort of flat, without much dynamic range. Is the mix just overly compressed? It seem difficult to cram all the lyrics in, so perhaps some editing and/or different phrasing could ease things up. I'm also not crazy about the rhymes in the first verse; using 'hard' twice in a row isn't pretty. The second verse is constructed much better, I think.
So overall, I'd rethink & redo the lyrics, then make the mix more dynamic. The rest is okay.

As always, thanks Mike for taking the time out to listen and your great suggestions. The over-compression is due to using a limiter step that might have over squashed the mix. I like your idea about simplifying the lyrics too. They were very hard to fit in.
I have two choices: to rerecord everything and slow down the tempo, or cut out some words. I'm also rethinking drums.
Thanks Mike, Stan

I went with Mike's suggestions and redid the lyrics by shortening the phrases up. The High-hat is still a bit too busy but I could figure out a way to mute it since the drums are on a single MIDI channel.
Again, thanks for your help Mike. Stan

Better - the only real stumbling block are the lines "With every thief standing in your yard, Make sure that he is a stranger". It's obvious the tongue is tripping.

Well Mike, I think the lyrics are short enough if I can just get them out fluently enough. I used a MIDI drum track that I'd like to replace with a 2488 rockpattern but don't know yet if this can be done to get a perfect match. When I get off for the holidays this week I'm going to try to get this closer to my satisfaction.
